Easier to do that here: https://image.prntscr.com/image/GG1E7B8gSfelBqMVvIVZkQ.png
Correct, however, I didn't mention that because at times it seems to either not work correct or ignore a number of cache files that's directly linked to the stuttering. Once you manually remove them all in safe mode the stutter goes away. For example: In the DXCache folder you may find 10 cache files. You use Shader Cache Option in Crimson to delete them and only 4 are removed. You go, "Oh well perhaps that's how it works" and play a game. Stutter is still present. You go back to the DXCache folder and try to delete them yourself. However, you get a popup warning advising you they cannot be deleted. You go into safe mode and delete them manually. Reboot, play a game and the stutter is gone.

If you try to manually delete them, those that arent' deleted are because are in use. For example. NONE are from the games. All background applications, like you see, Discord, Skype, Logitech app, Origin, etc. So, all the ones NOT in use, which are relevant, are indeed deleted. https://image.prntscr.com/image/aQ8oVD3DReO0hS16sUnlcw.png

Hum.. on my old 7850, opening EDGE or the MAIL app cause huge stutter at the point that the mouse even stop moving a few fraction of a second :/ Anyway I'm only testing stuff for DDU with that card. No issue on my daily usage card : GTX 1080

R9 280x, R9 290 and R9 390x here and everything is fine.

That's not what I am saying. I know they are in use. The problem is that the stutter I got wasn't fixed until I manually deleted them. There is no reason why old cache from a previous driver build should carry over to a new driver build. Which is why I suggested it that way.

Guys i just came across one nasty problem.Never had that before but from the moment i installed this driver, my custom Overdrive profiles for Steam doesn't work. What works is the Global Overdrive but the profile ones just don't.I think AMD broke something here.I'm having a R9 280.Does anyone else have this?I even rolled back 2 drivers and it's still happening. Not the case since yesterday.I had this issue this morning with this driver. The moment i installed it, it all went to sh*t.

Uninstall current driver version. Reboot. Wait about 5 minutes at desktop if you are using win10. At desktop right click with mouse button. Does AMD Radeon Settings come up? If so you have win10 force installing older version and it's messing up your new version of Crimson. If that happens uninstall the newest version 1st. which would be win10's version. Reboot Then uninstall the version you tried to install. Reboot. Then reboot again into safe mode and use DDU in safe mode. It will stop win10 from force installing older version.

How do you know your stutter doesn't go away because of 'proper' reboot and not deleting remaining apps cache? - could you try shutdown /t 0 /r after clearing whatever cache you can instead? I mean, what MerolaC is saying sounds... logical. This safe mode deleting sounds more like an art if not to say... voodoo. ๐Ÿ˜ฑ

Because I tried all that before I made the post. I didn't detail that because it wasn't important. Only the end result fixed it for me. Call it a summary of events. IE: Deleting the cache files fixed the stuttering issued I noticed once I installed these drivers. Since we all know about Crimson's ability to delete cache and you cannot just delete cache manually on normal bootup. I suggested to delete them in safemode. ๐Ÿ˜Ž

Just a regular boot up should be fine. I want him to know what exactly might be causing the problem. If he knew that he uninstalled the crimson drivers then reboot then idle at desktop for 5 minutes later he right clicks on desktop and see AMD Radeon Settings he would then know win10 is reinstalling older drivers. That's when you go ahead and just use DDU in safemode anyway. The above is just for his peace of mind. There is also a win10 update that states: March 13, 2018โ€”KB4088776 for build 1709 Fall Creator Update https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4088776 In part: Addresses issue to prevent media and other applications from becoming unresponsive or failing when upgrading graphics drivers. Check to see if you already have KB408876 or not.

You lost me with the above. "wasn't important"? "fixed it for me"? "we all know"?

yep, 5 min... his(?) Internet connection datarate is as fast as yours ๐Ÿ˜›

Mate, I've got the same issue with my RX 580. Some other people and myself have been suffering the same issue for months now, and although it's been reported through their official forums, AMD is ignoring us big time on this one ๐Ÿ™

Something similar happens with my RX480 and MPC-HC when opening a video, but only occasionally and after the user session has been running for a while.

Are you using Custom Resolution Utility?. I was having that problem whit one bad CRU config. The only way to solve it for me is to reinstall the driver and do a new config for CRU, not using the bad one. Edited: I remember it started to happen after one windows 10 big update in 2017, before that the CRU config was working good.

It was inevitable, but the 7730M does indeed support Vulkan 1.1. At this point, all I can say is lol. http://vulkan.gpuinfo.org/displayreport.php?id=2851
If any GPU with GCN1 ISA supports Vulkan 1.1, I do not see no reason why a 7730M should not support it too. By the hardware/software interface perspective a Radeon R7 450 and an old HD 7730M do not have any difference at all. AMD still sell to OEMs a GCN1 with the name of "Radeon 520" (yes, without "RX")

Thanks. It hasn't to do with latest package and you shouldn't even be affected, it has always happened occasionally since a year ago (when I got the card) no matter driver package, MPC-HC or LAV version. The few other users that I've seen complaining about it also had RX470/480 cards.
