GroinShooter:

It's DX12 specific.
Ok will have a look, i switched to dx11 again with latest 1.7.x patch it wasn't so stable like dx11. + That annoying ctd if alt+tab.

Did you try using Risen 2 bits? They are basically using the same engine with a few new features and tweaks. Quoting the developer: "For ELEX Piranha Bytes is continuing their inhouse engine and pushes it to the next level with current gen features in all areas." Edit: apparently no risen games supported SLI to begin with. Edit2: check here for unofficial compatibility bits https://www.forum-3dcenter.org/vbulletin/showpost.php?p=11524952&postcount=2650
Thanks for reply. I know 3dcenter forum - its nice one btw. But this tweak is unstable, and too much flickering, atleast to me. Risen 2 was DirectX 9.0 title, ELEX using DX11. Im not sure if there is a way to force game on DX9.

is it better when i use DDU before i install this new Driver ?
data/avatar/default/avatar07.webp
No. 99.99999 percent of the time DDU is even mentioned, its not necessary.

No. Only use DDU if you have issues when using standard un/installer.

Is this the same green and red flashing issue I have that appears on some games and also when playing videos when there is fast motion? If so, I found a fix - rolled back about 4 drivers as I had issues on video playback looking like its analgyph 3D at times with red/green lines on certain edges.

Because they changed it for some reason. You need to go into settings and enable it back. It's last setting at the bottom. Restart DDU and it will prompt you to boot into Safe Mode just like it used to do.

This isn't Nvidia fault, it's Massive Entertainment fault - they simply screw up DX 12 implementation: http://forums.ubi.com/showthread.php/1701777-Performance-DX12-Related-Issues Random crashes using DX 12 is also a known bug - just play using DX 11... Maybe 1.8 patch will somehow help and resove this issue but I honestly doubt it...
Yeah possibly true but still, I've been using DX11 since driver 387.92 which first introduced the green flickering artifacts. Any driver prior to that one worked flawlessly under DX12.

a new branch ?? anything new and exciting with it??
https://forums.guru3d.com/data/avatars/m/87/87487.jpg
These are the first v387.xx drivers (yeah, it's v388.00 but it's still part of the same branch) that I've been able to install first time not counting the two that installed automatically and apparently without issue via Windows Update (i.e. v387.68 and v387.78). They would fail due to NVContainer as force closing that then allowed the driver to install properly a second time. I had three of these processes running when I installed this new driver but it succeeded first time. Good stuff as I was starting to worry... One oddity is that Origin seems to close and restart after this driver is installed for some reason whereas both Steam, Battle.net and UPlay continue to run just fine in the system tray. Anyone know why this happens? I've only noticed it happening with these newer WDDM 2.3 drivers on Windows 10 v1709.

There's a profile specifically for SoW in this one - 0x2A0115F1 (Middle-Earth: Shadow of War)
ttnuagmada:

That one was there in the last driver release, but it still forced AFR1 when you would select Nvidia recommended in the control panel for SoW.
so..no changes about this game, single is still preferred with better performance, right?

Interestingly, setup didn't show the previous driver installed, instead "None." Install went fine as usual, and the nvidia control panel settings were kept the same instead of being reset to defaults (again -- the FallCU did the same thing, for the first time).

Same for me... rolled back to 385.65 and all the green flickering is gone...
