Am still getting black screen flashes with firefox, when are they going to fix this...back to 441.41 for me.
can't fix an issue that isn't caused by drivers.

Instant replay and game filters don't work with Final Fantasy XIV Online anymore. As soon as you load up the game it turns it all off. Is this a driver bug or is the game intentionally disabling them now? They worked fine until recent drivers.

Firefox still has random issues with Nvidia ??? Getting bsods with my gtx 460 1gb was the reason i switched to chrome years back.

no, firefox has issues with bad hardware. many fermi x60's were simply bios tuned wrong and had unstable memory.

only idiots use firefox a garbage browser with lot of bugs and eating lot of ram, even ancient edge is better than this crap.

Imagine using a browser made by an ad company and calling others idiots... Oh and Edge is also Chromium-based.

lol, been using FF since v3.5 and it's not the garbage you describe The only time I got 1-2 browser blackscreens was when nv messed up with ram timings? and power pulling P- states. Surprisingly both were a x80.xx drivers, hopefully R480 wont suffer the same. But I can get occasional blackscreen browser crash if I play Destiny2 and then try to using build-in steam browser,. it crashed a couple of times in youtube and it hardcrashed with 442.19 driver 2x, both when i tried to use steam overlay. No such issue with 442.01 atm.

I don't have FireFox issues. Though, I stick with ESR https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all/#product-desktop-esr I went with that when a FF update killed my browser install awhile back. Had to re-setup everything, wasn't happy that day. ESR still gets updates for security. And it's plenty fast. It's like Ubuntu LTS. You'll be stuck currently on version 68, but it's nice and stable.

Khronikos:

This is not true at all really. There were huge patches at one point because of developmental issues with firefox and nvidia.
It is true for the Fermi time as was the context provided. The 385.61 - 397 pascal issue was purely nvidia caused within the drivers and only existed on Win7 as it had something to do with pre-emption tuning - which is a tad more involved than on 8 and 10 where the driver models actually explicitly require pre-emption support and the ability to interrupt the device under heavy activity to query if its hanged or not. The few users on 10 who reported it had physical device issues or they had their system ram unstable. Firefox tends to readily expose system ram instabilities more effectively, but both chrome and firefox can show up poorly shielded riser cables.

Hm, something not Ok with these drivers? I see 3 out of 5 stars on the article page. And RDR2 is bugging me each time I start it to install these. But, since I am using DX, these are not a priority, really.

Good image quality with HPET, can't complain. Gamma is not great, but good enough. Crisp colors otherwise. (Yes, I'm kidding, but some people here might say something like that. I wouldn't take any average star rating too serious.)

pay little attention to the stars attributed to a driver news post.

Browsers are just more sensitive to things being out of whack for some reasons, more so than games can be. You can be game stable, but you're overclocks not stable until the browser doesn't crash 😀

Gents can you all chill down and get back into the good and better civilized mode, please? Isn't the world so much better if everybody is a bit kinder and friendly toward each other? Thank you.

Not to mention last I checked this was an Nvidia driver thread, not FF vs. Chromium.
