There is new option available: Vulkan/OpenGL present method
If I understand right with option "Prefer layered on DXGI swapchain" will put exclusive fullscreen Vulkan games into layer that imitates DX12 behavior with DXGI flip model which in turn allows for fast Alt-Tabbing and Gsync working for borderless windowed Vulkan games.
Quick test with Quake 3 Arena [OpenGL] in windowed mode (but native resolution) and capped fps show now active Gsync.

If I understand right with option "Prefer layered on DXGI swapchain" will put exclusive fullscreen Vulkan games into layer that imitates DX12 behavior with DXGI flip model which in turn allows for fast Alt-Tabbing and Gsync working for borderless windowed Vulkan games.
Quick test with Quake 3 Arena [OpenGL] in windowed mode (but native resolution) and capped fps show now active Gsync.
This option is also present in 530.04 driver via nvidia profile inspector.
530.04 is also exposing 2 other new settings in inspector, see my posts in the 530 driver topic, dont knownif they are also present in 526 driver
The consumption of the video card also jumps up to 99% when hardware acceleration is enabled in Windows. Driver still bad. Profiles for games from the Xbox gamepass were also not added. After 2 weeks, the driver is still impossible to use normally

Hm, a 1000W VBIOS already. Is it a Strix XOC BIOS (since it has two HDMI connectors, it should be ASUS)? Where did you get it from? Not that I'd try it out anyway due to the fun with the power adapters.

so "prefer layered on dxgi swapchain" is the way to go?
This driver doesn't clock down anymore once any program was started with power management set to maximum performance in its profile (no background process lingering), I then need to restart Windows entirely to make it clock down again. I guess I'll try one more time with clean install and then revert to previous driver if it still doesn't work.
Edit: Yep, still there after clean install. This driver is a waste of time if you rely on the maximum performance option...
Oh, mpv/madVR MPO of course still broken. I guess I'll order some Radeon at some point just for fun to try such things...

To be fair, this is not the first or the last time that this will happen. e.g. Remember the Deathloop issues in NVIDIA's *known issues* column weeks before the title's deployment?

Seriously, this has been discussed exhaustively since FH5 release date and the TRUE answer is ALWAYS the same. Please, go to WG/PGG and blow-up their forum(s) with these issues.

Dude, driver clocks down perfectly fine for me & that's tested through 15 games, Cyberpunk, Requiem, Uncharted, AC oddysee etc... downclocks within seconds of closing the games...
FYI : Not using reflex+boosted anywhere though...Also 'Maximum performance' is selected globally (not via profile)... Maybe that's the difference 😕
