Nice to see they fixed secureboot issue rather quickly. πŸ™‚

That was fast, damn AMD. :P No Man's Sky really needs a driver and the patches.

Most of the remaining issues with No Mans Sky also occur on Nvidia cards by the way. So the game does need patches.

Has anyone been able to use Crossfire, with decent scaling, on No Man's Sky?

These 16.8.2 Hotfix drivers, just like 16.7.3 and 16.8.1 freeze my dual Radeon HD 7970M 2GB Crossfire based Windows 10 64 1607 system (build 14393.51) on every reboot/shutdown. The "Restarting" screen just hangs. πŸ™ Like with the previous drivers that exhibited this bug, I can reboot and shut down just fine after uninstalling. Going back to 16.7.2, everything works fine once more. Update: The problem doesn't appear to be the driver itself, but rather something else in the package (I always install everything except the AMD Gaming Evolved App). If I install 16.7.2 via installer and then update just the drivers to 16.8.2 via Windows device manager, the system can reboot and shut down normally and doesn't appear to have any issues with 16.8.2.

sadly this driver does nothing with the major issues on no man's turd which are cpu issues only and the devs of the game need to fix it

http://i.imgur.com/sjMF8hE.jpg Wait. AMD had a driver out for No Man's Sky faster than NVIDIA? (Awesome)

There is no magic.

16.7.3 - 354MB 16.8.1 - 246MB 16.8.2 - 208MB What is going on there πŸ˜› And yeah AMD released a ''game-ready'' driver before Nvidia..this is madness. πŸ˜›
data/avatar/default/avatar25.webp
I compressed the downloads to make them smaller is all when building the packages. Nothing too fancy.

And it's not the first time also ;-) But i will test them some more, actual Gameplay not 30min-1h 'run&gun' πŸ™‚ But it's stable, Games runs Smooth (i have no FPS counter, the Fraps need to update and Action! Hangs Games) But its all smooth so far: Witcher III, DA:I (yes this two has unfinished GOTY content), SoM and Ryse. I will try Wolcen today -> That's HOG lol

Are you sure about Ryse being smooth? The last time I tested it, it showed nasty stuttering in the forest level.

Needed these, Overwatch crashed after every game on 16.8.1.

They threw .NET 4.5 (~45MB) away from 16.8.2, and ccc2_install.exe (~85MB) from 16.8.2 so weight dropped. Remaining files have quite similar size.

Oh, so you work for AMD's driver team. Nice.

Yep...working fine now in Win10x64 14393.67. Nice turn-around!

Flickering on Freesync still hasn't been fixed. When I exit a game back to desktop or alt+tab out of a game, flickering on desktop is very visible. Only way to stop it is to disable Freesync and re-enable or to change the monitor refresh rate.

- I don't think you need the ACP Application.. - as I understand it, this is for AMD CPU's - I never install it, or the AMD Gaming Evolved app - as yet, I have had no problems..

Will rollback and test an earlier driver, but, anyone else testing api overhead? Went from ~1680000 on 16.7.2 to ~1480000 on 16.8.2, DX11 ST. http://www.3dmark.com/compare/aot/160588/aot/157802 Left 16.8.2, Right 16.7.2. On 16.7.3 it always crashed on this test. To note that I've also upgraded Win10. Nothing else changed overclock wise.

Not for me! I'm still hving issues with anniversary edition. I've tried modding my 280X bios to include UEFI, tried it with secure boot disabled, tried it with other OS selected under the secure boot options. It still bluescreens/freezes or crashes randomly. The same system has a hard drive with 8.1 installed in legacy mode and has had no such issues for the past year and continues to function. I can run for sometimes 0 seconds, or 30 minutes idling, or opening chrome crashes it, or opening GPU-Z 1.10 freezes the entire machine, etc. :bang: I'm at a complete loss here. Windows is up to date, the drivers are DDU cleaned and all other system drivers are up to date, the UEFI on the motherboard is up to date. All stress tests pass flawlessly. WTF is the issue!!!? :bang: If I had the money I'd buy a 1080 and put my current 970 in that machine. So sick of this bullsh'it. (The install was from MSDN ISO and is fresh, not an upgrade. It's a week old now which is how long I've been delayed by this).
