Number of fixes well done. Gonna be trying these. High idle power has situationally been observed when using select high-resolution and high refresh rate displays on Radeonā„¢ RX 7000 series GPUs. Its happening on 6000 series too not just 7000 so dont try pushing that under the rug AMD.

For the first time ever, after installing these and then running Firefox the driver crashed the moment of starting Firefox. *edit* Well.... it's consistent every time, driver crash when starting Firefox... screw these shitty drivers. https://i.imgur.com/si6nais.png

Most of my sensors (a lot of them) are gone in hwinfo on 7900xtx šŸ™ Geez they can't get one thing right, as if they fired the entire team after 1 year ago one good release. And where is FSR 3 ? Q1 is over lads , at launch they said it's almost ready ... bshite No wonder you're selling low.
FSR 3.0 maybe after april or later... My guess... And there is no game release to support FSR 3.0 yet

Isnt FSR3 just a FSR2+frame generation? It could be that with a simple driver update when its released we'll be able to use FG in existing games that supports it? Who knows... im also hopping for a rdna2 support.

Went back to 23.2.2 and everything is normal again....... wtf AMD?
https://forums.guru3d.com/data/avatars/m/198/198862.jpg
Then let them sort it and figure out. Both 6000 and 7000 series would greatly benefit from FG. I remember when FSR was first announced it took them a while and look where is it now.

Doom Eternal bug when closing it with HDR enabled in game causing blackscreens for 2 seconds in some games while alt tabbing in HDR mode is fixed, also alt tabbing from Doom Eternal has never been so good oh my god, i so hated alt tabbing in vulkan games. will update if also fixed in Valheim. Unfortnutaly they did not fix the horde intro flickering bug that happens during intro especially especially but also other levels, when it happens setting decals lower fixes it, but when it does not happen it wont ever happen, but if you restart the game once and check it may happen otherwise on 3e or 4e attempt so it bugs out while loading the game but not all the time. edit: Valheim supports autohdr in vulkan now did not before, this driver has some good changes for vulkan. edit: HDR no longer supported in Doom Eternal i just could't tell the difference cos of autohdr. but it looks like fullscreen borderless is now actually borderless, much better experience, need to fix HDR tho in doom eternal. https://i.imgur.com/Flhkay9.png edit: world of warcraft still freezes system with sound that keeps going, guess its time to quit world of warcraft, perhaps i can have AMD compensate my subscription if they do ever decide to fix.

Did Microsoft just released an update (kb5023773) to address the SCEP issue?
This update addresses an issue that affects the Simple Certificate Enrollment Protocol (SCEP) certificate. The system reports some SCEP certificate installations as failed. Instead, the system should report them as pending.

Was wondering when the new driver would drop, so I hurried over here as I knew guru3d is the place to check on the latest. Downloaded already, with try this out on both my cards....

Guess I am lucky. 5120x1440 120hz Idle clock spiked when I took the screenshot. Normally is 16-18mhz 8-15w idle Never have had an issue in the 2 years I have had my 6800xt with idle with 2 different super wides or when I had my 1440p Ultrawide

@Cp0 Still havent experienced the Doom Eternal HDR bug. Still working here and with a new monitor.

Does anyone know what "AmdScoSupportTypeUpdate" (a scheduled task?) is in this driver? Seems new, if I'm not mistaken.

It a "not a bug" bug , has plagued amd (and nvidia?) for decades at this point, It happens to monitors that have very aggressive reduced blanking, the vblank period is a relic from the CRT days when the electron guns needed time to reset between refreshes, amd uses this time interval to change memory clocks, otherwise, there will be artifacting/flickering if this happens during readout. if the interval is too small, then it can't do this, so amd just keeps the clocks high. this is why it only effects certain monitors, so long as the vblank interval is large enough idle will work as expected, work around is creating a custom edid with CRU or use a refreshrate that has a large enough vblank period, on polaris cards this is 26-32 lines at 1080p 75hz if I recall correctly, might be different for newer cards.

Its been an issue since i had rx580 back in the day and still is but i was using multi monitor setup then. Idle power is higher, temperatures, freq. i mean it cant be good having your memory clocks running max all the time, right? Btw nvidia card rtx3070 i had before this 6700xt didnt exhibit this behaviour on the same monitor.

I believe nvidia cards have a better implementation, but I think it still effects them if using multiple monitors with different refreshrates, this problem goes back so far that I've seen it on my old hd 6870 when overclocking my monitor.

I hope FSR3 has fluid motion back. I refuse to use cards that don't have AMD fluid motion features, which is why i bought a Vega 56 card and stop using my 5000/6000 cards.

Just installed on my 6800XT There's a reduction in 3DMark scores compared to 22.11.1 which I used last for testing... about 6% less in FireStrike Ultra, about 3% less in Time Spy Not sure if this most recent version is the cause or the 23.x branch overall, I'll do more testing in games as well.

Had freeze with audio that keeps going in world of warcraft today, given up on that game is dead to me, do not even think its AMD fault, its just heavily effected by deadlock issue that Microsoft is clearly ignoring currently, as well as Activision Blizzard.

HDR currently does not work autohdr works tho might try clean install of driver later, gonna leave world of warcraft and other activision Blizzard tittles alone until they adress deadlock issues least, not even gonna touch diablo 4 after reports of diablo 4 killing gigabyte gpu's
