fix stuttering in bioshock or remember me ?
that stuttering i think that is because the engine,no the drivers...
I was wondering the same about Bio and Remember Me. So that's due to both being a heavily modded unreal engine? Most of you know unreal usually is incredibly high in fps with ATI (old and optimised). Granted, those mods are pretty intensive (and impressive! I have to say for a minute there i thought i was looking at a ue 4 beta build! 🤓) Didn't they fix this "stuff" on BF3 and C0D? I'd like to find out what the real bottleneck is, other than my overexcited-ness about this new beta, lol. Welp, releases have been shaping up so I can't really bitch too much... :wanker:

its a problem with ati and physx 😏, in nvidia cards working good .

So far no need to upgrade to this beta driver version, it improved nothing at all on my lappy, all benchmarks with the same results. @asder00 as always thanks very much for posting.

Resident evil revelations is not playable in ATI 7XXX series ... http://steamcommunity.com/app/222480/discussions/0/828939797070233670/ i really hate amd/ati, my next vga definitely will be a NVIDIA , is not a trolling but i very tired of the problems .
This is my first Ati card I ever bought ,and I am happy with this card. I always used Nvidia cards, look in the NVidia driver threat you see NVidia encounters a lot of problems too. this is not really a driver issues alone, but the game engines developing changing faster as the driver developments , I think.

To clear one thing up.. it's not an AMD only processor problem as I have an Intel i5 Ivy Bridge. Also not an AMD only graphics card problem as I put an older Nvidia card in my pc and still had the issue. Locked 30fps or 60fp doesn't make a difference, it still happens.

i use a 8800, 4 years and never had so many problems that I had with my 7790 in a month and it's my third vga ati (5770-6850-7790) and all had problems ... the games are optimized for nvidia (the most part) sorry for my bad english .

Yes, but...it does happen with Nvidia cards as well. This points to a game issue and not a drivers issue. Take a look at Metro: Last Light. One patch and performance went up for AMD cards.

Oh wonderful, the bottleneck is physx again. I didn't notice as it seems the devs found it much easier to add a disable option in a patch. I guess they didn't have any AMD hardware at time of release, lol. Let the pray for patch waiting games commence!

Well, good for you! My 8800GTX along with that of my friend's, both died in a year and a half of usage. No refund, no explanation, except several articles online pointing to a bad engineering effort from nVidia... Sometimes it's not the 'brand', just the individual product. @OP, Thanks for the new driver! 🙂

YCbCr 4:4:4 is the better pixel format afaik, its what I keep mine set to THe black bars are likely due to scaling, goto CCC > My digital flat panels > Scaling Options and slide the slider to fill the HDMI screen
YCbCr should never be used for Games, they are made for TINT : Cool and not for Kelvin D65- Warm. Only Movies blueray and such made to be played on Warm or D65 Tint mode because that's how they picture it and made to look like that. Games are and will be always RGB as possible because the possiblites u can make using this and the no limit of colours the artists needed to make a picture a real 3D motion picture so you can play with it as a game not a movie.

Your full of **** buddy i worked in a retail shop for 7 years and i don't think we did much warranty for that card or many components that weren't ****ed but users, Only card we had problems with was a OC 8800GTX ultra MSI brand which came back twice and still didn't want to run at its default speed. maybe you and your friends should stop building PC and get a PC technician to do it for ya.

I don't use the TV for games, just for watching films / documentaries etc

I can confirm this version has finally fixed the HDMI audio drop outs for me. It was still present in the original 13.6 beta.

Do I need to install the latest CAPs with this one?

I too had a 9800 GT and it ran fine for over 4 years. 1 month ago I got a 7790 and my life changed from "happy computing" to "a crappy rig". This card is ain't worth 50 bugs. Ram overclocking 2D flickering, strange black dots in Firefox, mouse stuttering while CCC is loading, menu glitches in CCC & some others programs, the monitor doesn't come back from sleep mode (only with STRG, ALT, DEL), and so on. The only game that run fine is Bioshock Infinite. Most of the games have a mouse turning lag (not low fps), just some hangings for milliseconds. :bang:

They do, they improve performance in PCMark 7/8 on the Richlands, and resolve the HDMI Audio drop-out on the Radeon HD series, the previous BETAs don't. :P

Might have been to fast to judge these drivers. Flashed to Gigabytes newest bios at the same time as installing these and things started to get wierd, videos hung just after a few seconds, same with Firefox. Reverted to older drivers (13.5B2), still the same. Went back to F72 bios and reinstalled 13.6B2, seems to work! Have been flashing many times before and never had this problem. Maybe Gigabyte screwed up this time...

@Valagard What are you talking about a 7970? The new "7790" is nearly one month on the market. Maybe you are right on my PSU, but I guess not. The power consume is less a third of the old 9800/8800 GT. All new 7790 cards are stock overclocked to 1075/1500, or 1075/1600. There is not one card with 1000/1500 regular clocks you can buy. Those 2D Ram overclocking flicker is an AMD problem since the 5xxx series and can be found in many forums. So I gave up overclocking the Ram. I also found a lot postings about the menu glitches in CCC. The mouse turning lags in games? In my opinion it's the 128 bit bandwidth of the card. The last drivers didn't solve any of the problems. Maybe it's getting better with the next drivers. Most of all magazines raised this card to heaven. Best buy under 150 bugs. Will see.
