After installing/upgrading Adrenalin Edition 23.7.2, please make sure the OpenCL driver has been loaded correctly. If you open GPU-Z to the OpenCL tab, OpenCL shows "Not supported", please DDU clean up the driver and restart the system, and reinstall Adrenalin Edition 23.7.2 can be solved. https://i.imgur.com/uN6tWdz.png

Here you are: AMD Adrenalin 23.7.2 Mod.7z πŸ™‚ It's modified with the newer Vulkan and DX UMD modules from UWP 39003 driver. The OpenGL is already the same. I haven't replaced the AMF and OpenCL modules. The driver version in the .inf file is: DriverVer=07/20/2023, 31.0.21023.2010 GPUz shows the same. But on screen in Radeon Software: AMD Windows Driver Version 31.0.21023.2012 I couldn't find this version in any of the conf files (bin64 and config directories). I had forgotten that Canary Win11 25905 build has the safe mode completely broken. When I try to use DDU or AMDCleanupUtility.exe with a reboot in safe mode - the computer hangs during the boot. After the reset, the computer tries again to boot in safe mode so I go in an endless cycle. The solution is to boot from the Win11 installer flash drive (or from another partition with Windows) and format the EFI partition (to clean the safe mode flag) and link it again to the installed Windows (with bcdboot.exe). This way the computer boots again in normal mode. Of course, AMD still doesn't want to make the driver compatible with the Canary branch of Win11 and on every boot, I still get WattMan reset:

At least MS has fixed the broken DX12 rendering in the current build.

Updated NvCustomer today. Ensure AMD Installer correctly applies OpenCL driver paths. Now checks for path existence and fixes it automatically. NvCustomer v10.5.1.42 Stable Release Added OpenCL driver validation and fixes features. Default: enabled. OpenCL paths are now validated, will automatically fix paths if wrong and ensure OpenCL drivers are loaded correctly. https://i.imgur.com/EtVJ72T.png AMD Radeon Software Customize Setup v10.5.1 - More Radeon Software Installation Options | guru3D Forums

Still no support for the 7040HS line... (Edit: There's partial support for the 7040HS line) No GPU driver for the 780M, no motherboard drivers, no AI chip driver... AMD is really dropping the ball on this one...! Edit: Thanks for the info, HD64G! It seems that I stand corrected! Hopefully this driver fixes quite a few issues that people are having with them!

Anybody still having an issue with "ffmpeg -hwaccel vulkan"? doing 'ffmpeg -hwaccel vulkan -i "inputfile" -c:v hevc_amf -an -sn "outputfile.mkv"' (only encode video, no audo or subtitle tracks) makes the screen go black and lock up the system on an RX 6700 I added the -an and -sn flags to rule those out, and have tried various files. -hwaccel d3d11va still works as usual, but I was looking forward to using vulkan because that was actually touted in the release notes as now being added (https://www.amd.com/en/support/kb/release-notes/rn-rad-win-23-7-1 points to https://www.amd.com/en/support/kb/release-notes/rn-rad-win-vulkan) (exact issue was present 23.7.1, but waited to see if 23.7.2 would've addressed this)

Ofcourse gpu drivers crash with ratchet and clank and RT on πŸ˜€ So they disabled RT out of protest while AMD probably still trying to ship it. I see installer got new option as well now to share diagnostics during install πŸ˜€
