Will the Doom Vulcan implementation be cupported in full on the GTX980 (Maxwell) or does it need `special hardware` a.k.a Pascal series?

Vulkan will work on Fermi too..
Its basically the same as openGL but with much higher api drawcalls (dunno atm but 50mill+ for sure), opengl4.x has ~ 26mill, dx11 ~16mill.

So far, this is the only video that really made me want to play this game. The movement speed is fast, the jump height is strategically useful, and the mantling with no apparent fall damage (with the help of good map design) really opens up the vertical dimension. The weapons sound and look good, and there are more than a handful enemies in that mob.
Also... I have apparently not been paying attention. This comes out on May 13th?

im feeling more quake vibe from it than Doom, also are there infighting? Sometimes i just want to see a baron of hell clear a mob of imps

The game will look fast because the FOV looks like it was set to 130 (in the beta the max was 110. I also stated #5262097 Posted on: 04/23/2016 12:23 PM that Doom will support Vulkan, Nobody bats an eye lol.
