I'm guessing two miles and a half.
Sounds about right.

How far away from the screens you use do you sit when working? What sort of work do you do even? I'm genuinely interested.
I charge people to work on their infrastructure so I need a couple of monitors and usually have 2 servers and a firewall and a browser open during worktime. After hours I enjoy FPS when time permits. I also use my main pc for storage. I sit about 2' from two 30" monitors.

But how far away from the screens do you sit when doing this work relating to infrastructure? I mean, is that two inches or two foot? I'm guessing it's in feet.

I sit two feet (twenty four inches) from my two thirty inch screens.

I'm surprised, as I struggle in using a couple of 27" screens in near-field. I'd cap out at around 30" personally. I suppose it depends on the work you're doing to an extent, but going larger would be a detriment for myself. I've chatted in the past with people using similar setups, and they mostly agree. That might be your answer, most people using professional based screens sit so close that going over a certain physical size becomes problematic. Resolution is another thing entirely. PS: Not sure why you'd have your firewall open at all times, but there you go.

I manage about 35 firewalls - someone always is adding or blocking/filtering something or needs something natted. I had to set up a custom station for one CEO I work with who wanted 6 30" monitors.

Pornhub, Redtube, Reddit, 9gag, and a couple for actual work? :wanker:

Trading mostly. Bloomberg type stuff.

If you want to spend the money, you can get a 40" 4K monitor right now. They fill the exact role you are looking for. They have more vertical coverage than an Ultrawide, and they fill up your field of vision.
Not 144hz - only 60Hz I want 144Hz with little lag low measurement for response time- good for gaming. I've done the math - a 50" 16x9 at 2' will fill my field of vision sufficiently. That being said I really only need a 30 or 32" at this time to replace one of my old displays.

Yeah, we'll get there soon. Monitor technology is thankfully marching forward again. You're just looking for something we can't quite do yet. Give it 2-3 more years and well be there. ๐Ÿ™‚
