60Hz seems a bit low these days for 1920x1080 though I guess IPS still isn't quite there yet for reliable 120hz let alone higher (If that even exists outside of marketing terms where it goes up to sometimes above 240 and then it's 60hz with some motion thingie.) although apparently some monitors can be tweaked a bit to go above the 60hz limit from what I've read at least. FreeSync might be useful though 48 - 75 also seems a bit low albeit at 1080p I guess with a decent GPU keeping framerate between 50 - 60 is doable while keeping the adaptive-sync benefit. 🙂 No idea how FRC is, don't really have any in-depth knowledge on that although I thought most monitors today were 8-bit or 8+2 for 10-bit though I guess there is 6 and 6+2 too then. Oh and the usual minor typo point-out "Hull HD" :P (Not that it makes much of a difference, unless you stop and look at each word individually the brain will usually just make it so you read it out as what you expected it to be, I think there were some tests on that switching a few letters around with each word in a shorter text but it's still perfectly readable, eh not like that matters.) EDIT: Looks like the usual contrast and response time fluff is there too with measurements from gray - gray instead of black - white or what it was but eh that's on every monitor and TV. (Also I missed that the price was listed, I guess that explains some of the lower specs or well I guess overall it's a fairly solid 1080p IPS monitor really.)

:( Low res for 27" and only 60hz... I mean, I'd be fine with 60hz, but the low resolution is a dealbreaker imo. You can hardly buy a graphicscard these days that doesn't do 60fps at 1080p.

"Hull HD" what's this new technology I'm seeing? TELL ME WHAT YOU KNOW!! I must have this new thing, NOW!

For this price it's a very good deal. Throw in some Freesync and it screams value for money. I will say that the resolution is a bit low for the size, but at that price there is nothing to complain.

It usually caps to 60 via digital connections though, my own monitor has that same "up-to" 75hz range listed on it's specifications for example. 🙂 (Sometimes it's usable at lower than native screen resolutions as well.) EDIT: FreeSync and probably also GSync might work differently though come to think of it due to the way they work.

Come on Dell, give me a 27-30", 1440p, IPS, g-sync, 144-180Hz dream monitor, with a decent panel (unlike what the market currently offers)... come on, don't be shy. 🙄

Also it uses a VA panel, which is actually not a type of IPS.
That's incorrect, SE2716H has a VA panel, SE2717H is IPS.

Terrible stand, 6 bit + FRC, 1080p, and FreeSync support only begins at 48Hz? $250 would have been a reasonable price if it was a 1440p panel with a reasonable stand. The pixels are just way too large on a 27" 16:9 1080p screen, and the cheap Dell stands are borderline intolerable. Let me know when a 1440p/1600p, 27"+, 120Hz+, IPS/AHVA/PLS, FreeSync monitor with a good stand (or at least VESA support) is available for an affordable price with a pixel perfect guarantee. Until then I'll just keep dreaming.
