Maybe for me it was just the MP experiance of BF3, this was the height of my online gaming period as its very rare of play MP now, many reasons including both technical ie poor ping now I've relocated and lifestyle as I've less time to dedicate. Also I've drifted more into SP games that are less linear ie RE, Metro, FC and now CP.

It's easy, design maps as great as BF3, slap BFV movement on it, add the "refinement sauce" of BF4 (better netcode, tickrate, etc) and bam, good BF. No trying to reinvent the wheel, etc, sometimes we want more of the same with just more maps, more guns, ...
