Why do people think the next set of cards we are getting is Volta? Am i the only one that remembers there's supposed to be a pascal refresh before volta? I mean, it's possibly nvidia scrapped that whole idea, but i find it unlikely we won't have a series released in the next 4-5 months, and volta isn't supposed to be here till 2018...

The pascal refresh was a rumor based on Samsung manufacturing Nvidia cards. Those cards turned out to be the 1050/1050Ti. I don't know why you think Nvidia has to refresh Pascal in the next 4-5 months when Nvidia already announced they are shipping Volta GV100 cards in Q3/Q4 - which means consumer Volta is only ~8-9 months away.

I find it very unlikely nvidia would release a new GPU-line in the december-February period. Nvidia, for the most part, seems to like to release the start of a series around the end of spring/start of summer or end of summer/start of winter, and that makes sense too.

Since when do refreshes get put on the roadmap? Tesla had 3 (5 if you count the 100 and 300 series, i don't) refreshes and every one after that had 2 except maxwell. https://marketrealist.imgix.net/uploads/2016/10/Series-161-A9.png?w=660&fit=max&auto=format
