I read that as power "binge" adapter :P

Better get a vertical mount if you can't plug it in. 12VHPWR pins are too small to extend upon, adding more connections increases resistance.

I've been using this "bridge" adapter since day 3 of owning the card. It seems to work fine and I appreciate not having to seriously bend the 12VHPWR cable (that came with my new Corsair RM1000x SHIFT ATX3 PSU) around to fit. It just goes straight in. 😉

lmao, the temperatures that are required to melt the molex plug are in excess of 250c, an advertised rating of 105 like its a major benefit is idiocy on corsairs part.

Bending at the card end has never been an actual problem, the real issue is bending at the psu end of a 12vhpr cable as it requires bending parallel to the connector which can pop out pins on the furthest point of the bend.

The resistance is only a concern when the manufacturing is shoddy, as it was with CableMods adapter (poor quality soldering, low quality materials, inferior female terminals) It was a perfect storm for replicatable failure.
