Right on, yeah I think the fans that Corsair started to include with newer models were better than the ones they shipped with the original h100. The ones that I received moved enough air, but they all had a buzzing sound that were very obvious since the rest of my rig was dead quiet at the time. I have a couple of gentle typhoons that I placed on mine (only push) and they are running at full kick all the time.. keep stuff cool and stays quiet. If it weren't for having to throw 1.375v to my CPU for 4.6ghz, I imagine I'd be running a fair bit cooler :/
The stock H100 fans were LOUD!!!!! I replaced them with SP120 performance ones. Using my motherboard to control them, they are only 1200 rpms most of the time and never hear them. I may get this new h100i GTX for my new build with a 4790k.

Seems like a great cooling solution. Will H100i GTX fit to a 1151 socket? edit: seems 1150=1151 ...

Hi. im rather new in the world of Water-cooling, and I'm really looking for the H100i GTX for my 5960X problem is that i hear of some people having leaks with the H100i for example, i want to know if there are upgrades from h100i to h100i GTX in matters of quality to prevent leaks. Ie H100i GTX has better hoses compared to H100 or the pump is better quality have the Quality team at Corsair a review of the materials employed in the new GTX brand? or are just "eye candy", my concern is that i spent many thousand dollars on hardware and ive read of people having leaks on the H100i i really want to put a H100i GTX but im worried, so if you can tell me if there are new features regarding security against leaks in this new version id be thankful. please be honest, i know you are from Corsair, and obviously going to defend your product. but i need to be sure that what im installing on my pc has been revised to be an improvement from the H100i. Thanks in advance!:)

Hi Macman, Right off the bat, there's always a risk of leaking with AIO coolers in general because of its nature. It's our job to minimize those risks and make sure that we prevent them from ever happening as much as possible. Although you have seen leak reports online from users, they are still rare in comparison to the amount of users who have had zero issue with AIO coolers. There are some tweaks that we've made from H100i to H100i GTX. Other than the obvious, aesthetics - tubes are slightly thicker to improve overall integrity and added sleeve for rigidity. The H100i GTX's coldplate has been improved as well for a slightly better heat dissipation over the H100i. With all that in mind and the unexpected still happens, your cooler leaked for some reason. We do have a system in place where we treat each claim on case to case basis to evaluate the situation. If it's been determined through failure analysis that the cooler indeed leaked and has damaged other hardware in your system, we will take responsibility for it by compensating you for the damaged hardware.
