600$ difference for 200mhz higher clock. Who wants one?

Same people that buy luxury cars? 500 000$ ekstra for "nothing" 😛 Some people just want the best. Not everyone want most "value" for the money

1200$ for 8c on 14nm not even funny.

I wonder, how good does the 9900K overclock on water (AIO)? Don't you hit those 5.1 on water easy, with lower temps? 5.2 maybe even too on those 5.1 binned chips?

With enough cooling you can get any 9900K to that frequency, as the solution to overcome instability is to increase voltage. But an AIO might not be enough.

Ooh, an 8C/16T 14nm CPU that runs hot for 1200USD? Sounds like a bargain to me! 🙄

Not everything is black and white mate. People who buy that are fuckwits thats all. I don't know any dumb rich person, people that are rich are smart for a good reason they don't piss up money one crap like that. But that is still impressive for a 9900K.

If there's demand - sure, normal for me. "Sold out" - bump it higher. Might be wiser to just buy and flip CPUs, but time is also a resource. You can always pretend it doesn't exist if you don't want it, wishing death upon someone for it... what? Some Arma 3 enthusiast or sth would love more Hz 🙂

I've Intel Core i9 9900k runs @5.2Ghz at 1.30V since 6 months and absolutely stable. I'M using Arctic Freezee 360 Push/Pull Water Cooling and max temps 75-80 at 24c ambient temperature. That means I'm the luckiest one who has 1 in million chip hahahhah

Nobody should buy this CPU due to the single year warranty. Intel itself doesn't believe in the CPU, so why should you?

I'll take 4.;)
I'll buy 4 Ryzen 5 3700X with that amount of money
Have you done any testing on it like lastest prime 95 or you all talk like most people on these forums and Reddit. Can you define stable, please? I mean gaming on it for a day or two isn't stressing it much and prime 95 without axv isn't either. Sorry if I may offend but I call BS when I see it.

This is Nuts. Even if I had the cash, I would spend it on something else than 200mhz.

Prime95 isn't nesesary if all you do is gaming. Asus realbench for some houers and play BF V (avx) multiplayer is all you need for stability. Ramtest/gsat is fine too. If it's stable in BF V multiplayer for 4 houers, then it's stable enough. My opinion. For work/renderingbox, prime 95 and f@h is great 😀 Prime 95 is like testing a car @ full rpm in 1. gear for some hoers. What is the point? 😛

I agree with this, if the system is stable for what the gentlemen is using it for 24/7 then it's stable. All this Prime95, IBT testing is bollocks. You'll soon know if it isn't stable and that's when you're using it in your everyday life doing what you do each day. If you're getting BSODs then revisit your voltages or dial down the clock one multi etc No need for much else, just enjoy your system and your performace and to hell what some random nobody online thinks

OK, so I guess it isn't stable then. If you build a computer for a customer and it was promised to have a overclock then it has to be stable, not your shitty version of stability I mean stable as a rock so anything they do on it works every time. What you wrote sounds so fu*Ken stupid it makes you look like a hobbyist, not a professional. What's the point you ask nizzen? It's so whatever you throw at it, doing taxes, uni work whatever it is it wont crash at random. Wrote from phone
data/avatar/default/avatar15.webp
HA they call you guys PC Enthusiast with the way you guys go about overclocking I wouldn't even pay you to pull out my weeds from the garden.

Wow I was just thinking this recently. I had a few crashes in BF5 but only after awhile. I bumped up my voltage to my CPU a tiny bit for my 5 ghz OC and it seems to have gone away. I had not had that happen with any other long gaming sessions however BF5 constantly uses all 8 cores on my 9700K, even more than Total War II. I can't think of any other game that pushes the CPU like that.
