this ultra wide is gonna cost half of our body if we want to buy it, this is sick. I really do love gaming in 3440x1440p as i own a dell u3415w, i recently got a 1080ti and im considering selling my 1070 and screen to get a asus ultra wide at 100 hz , but man these ultra wide are so expensive. Think about it before buying because once u go ultrawide there is no going back, if u get a 60hz ull want more, and then ull want more than 100 hz, there is no going back im telling u folks

I find shelling out on a high end new monitor may have to wait a bit. Next year, hdmi 2.1 will mean TVs get VRR and higher refresh rates. Thats a game changer. HDR, VRR and 4K in a living room TV. Kinda leaves no reason to own a monitor for me unless you specifically want a desktop setup. But for gaming, 2018 TVs will have it all. 🤓
There is absolutely no reason for a TV to have a higher refresh rate than 60hz. The majority of console games work at 30 or 60hz and there are no broadcast stations that I know of that broadcast at a higher refresh rate.

Maybe this time they'll do some Q&A and these "ROG"s wont be crappy and RMA prone. I can already see the comments, just like with their 27'/144 ROG's "Great while it lasted (2months), RMA'd 2 times, but had to give up eventually"

Not unless you hook up a PC to it...... Tons of "reasons" to have it with a refresh rate of 100+hz as it makes a world of difference. Truly pains me to go from my computer @ 120+hz to my consoles of 30-60hz mandated refresh rates. Kind of like ushering the 90's gaming sessions of yesterday once again today...

That's my point. But the vast majority of people who buy TVs don't use them as computer monitors so why are manufacturers going to add that feature when nobody uses it.

Aren't sports broadcasts trying to move to higher framerates? Tons of people watch sports. All I want is for the manufacturers to quit milking OLED. They're going to have it end up like plasma if they don't push it out of the high end only market segment.

3440x1440 35" nice! 200hz: Yes please! Gsync: No thanks VA panel: im not so sure about that, latest samsungs VA is close to IPS general responstimes, but still lacking a bit. The PG348q was nice to own, but not quite good enough to replace my IPS 144hz(had 5 of them, asus ended up giving refund cause they where not able to deliver one without gsync drawbacks, slight whine and other stuff.

As of 2017, only LG Display produces commercial OLED TV panels (although China's BOE is also entering production). LG Electronics has several OLED TV models on the market - ranging in size from 55" to 77". Some of these are flat, and some are curved, and all the latest models support 4K (UHD) resolution and HDR. Reviews of LG's OLED TVs are great, and most experts say that these are the best TVs ever produced - with virtually perfect image quality.
If I can find other sources, I'll bring it, but "LG Display" are the only manufacturer of OLED panels.
LG Display also supplies panels to other companies - including Panasonic, Sony, Grundig, Philips, Metz, Loewe, Skyworth, Changhong, Haier, Konka and KTC.
