consider it free literally? Don't you mean basically and not Literally? I'm not picking on you it's just very blooming strange that over the last decade, the only Ad Verb people tend to know and use and use wrongly on a frequent basis is the word Literally. All this fuss over Pro Nouns but hardly anyone these days knows their Ad Verbs? 😛
Sorry, I was tired and wasn't paying attention to that, yes I meant basically, but wanted to say literally since, lets be honest, 10 euro for 10GBPS is like a steal, 1GBPS is like 7-8 euro (or less, I dont even know anymore). You can go on the streets, beg one hour and pay for your internet for a month xd

Where are you from? Sweden or? Is it a special deal as you work there or know someone that does?
In many countries in Europe, I don't know exactly but it's the same in Romania, Hungary, Poland, maybe Slovakia, Czehia, etcetc. It's not a special deal, everyone here has 1GBPS (except older users who still has 50mbps contracts from 10+ years ago and are too lazy/don't care to change their contract) since its barely 7 euro. Regarding 10GBPS, as you may know not many has available hardware, but you can buy it even as a normal user 🙂

How low? 10GBPS is already like 10 euro here, what less would you still expect? I would say its a pretty good price, and you can consider it free literally
be happy with those price or euro price in general. 104$ for 500mbit with cable (normal prices promo prices might 59$ for like year or 2. that for spectrum cable there 1gbit tier is 130$ att fiber 69$ for 500mbit or 89$ for 1gbit which still a whole lot more then that 10 euro for 1gbit, new customer or not contract or not USA customers are pay whole lot more more for internet , wiether it goverments fault for leting these companies do this or not customer is still paying way more, only way to get those some what "lower" prices is to constantly be canceling services and switching isp ever year or 2 and it would still beway more then that 10$ euro. Again would kill for 10$ 1gbit intent hell i would settle for 10$ for just 100mbit, which would be still rip off by that 10$ euro for 1gbit. there thing euro pay more for then us like gpu but there thing euro pay whole lot less for then us like internet

https://www.spectrum.com/internet/plans https://www.att.com/internet/internet-service-plans/ those are 'promotional"prices usual after year or 2 it goes up 20+ to normal prices I just tried to get those prices for spectrum only way i would get those 3 IF i cancel service and be come new customer again. us prices for internet is ridiculous. or i canceled spectrum to switch to ATT to get there prices for a year or 2. which would still be more. i would argue the prices we we pay for internet off sets the cost different euro pay for gpus, no less i would love 10gbit speeds but not at the prices it would be in USA, a Verizon still chargers 50$ + for 10mbit dsl well last i looked not sure they still have dsl but if they do will to be still ridiculously prices

that is yah 10 gbps is 125mb/s 500mbit is roughly 62mb/s that STILL way faster and still WAY cheaper then internet prices in states less the calculators are all lying to me about conversions

Damn, those are some crazy cheap prices I see here, from other European countries. I feel like I live in the USA by paying 19.90 euros for 400M. For a while I actually had 600M for that price, but when the war started, the ISPs apparently saw a good opportunity to raise their prices or offer less speed for the same money, like in my case, which I chose since 400M is enough for me, but I could use the saved money. Well, if nothing else, I'm "proud" that Finland is defending its position as the most expensive EU country.

let try it this way NO one can get internet of ANY speed for 10$ let alone 100mbit forget about at 1 or 10gbps. the speeds are NOT what i refer too internet price for 10$ a month dont existent in US and pretty sure never never did.

10Gb/s in Germany would be nice. But that will stay a dream for I guess 99% of us. Last time I asked the maximum you can get here is 1Gb/s down and about 100Mb/s up. If you are a company and can pay the massive prices 10Gb/s is possible (symmetrical), but for 1000s of Euros, per month. 1Gb/s symmetrical is about 999 Euros + tax.

How fast was a CD/DVD drive anyways? 33/66MB/sec?
CDs went up to 70x but those are rare the most typical drives on the last year's where 40x to 52x a cdrom 1x transfers 150kb/s so a 52x drive can do up to 7,8 mbytes the average would be aroun 25-30x because it reads faster on the edge of the CD ... Also if the disk is in bad condition this drops even farther . DVD's kinda the same thing as the CDs but the 1x for DVD is roughly 1500kb/sec and DVDs reached up to 24x .. but the most typical thing you would find was 16x when it was on the peak. So the theoritical max of a 16x drive 24mbytes a second same thing happens as the CDs the speed is slower the closer to the center so the average read speed of a DVD was somewhere around 8-12x
