Good thing I ditched Google Chrome last year...

While this is good and all but it does users like me no good because I don't upgrade to the latest Windows 10 build until it is months old to make sure Microsoft works out the major issues that are in the build. Plus I don't believe it until I see it at the end of the day.

Is it me or that "soon" sounds more like "some time in the future"?
Currently I'm with Chrome Version 83.0.4103.116 (Official Build) (64-bit). I wonder in which version we'll get this.
On the bright side...Google Chrome in Windows 10 can play 8K@60FPS VP9 videos with ONLY 2-3% CPU usage and no dropped frames. So using the GPU entirely. (A GTX 1080, nothing extremely new).
If I do same test in Linux (Ubuntu): I can't even watch the video in 8K. And in 4K@60FPS I get high CPU usage. And Firefox in Ubuntu also didn't help.
So at least I can appreciate this RAM eater, doing an excellent job playing videos efficiently.

Ditched Chrome for Edge Chromium many moons ago.

So you are still on Chrome basically.
You just swapped the extra memory consumptions of google stuff with the microsoft stuff.

For anyone who was considering 128GB, this is good news. 32GB is probably going to be enough for Chrome. Maybe.

The human eye can't see more than 32GB RAM anyway.

Just wondering what you are using as Im always open to new things. I was planning on moving to Brave but all that recent cryto news I will never use that browser.
I think Brave is still a solid choice, personally I'm on Edge Chromium and use Firefox from time to time, but the Brave CEO admitted that they made a mistake https://twitter.com/BrendanEich/status/1269317625915400192?ref_src=twsrc^tfw|twcamp^tweetembed|twterm^1269317625915400192|twgr^&ref_url=https://www.theverge.com/2020/6/8/21283769/brave-browser-affiliate-links-crypto-privacy-ceo-apology (hope that link works and is allowed?) and we should tolerate mistakes if they are handled properly, should we not? As for Google Chrome... Is anyone still trusting that browser? Nice tech, shitty company. They abandoned 'Do no harm' a long time ago.

@gloves085 i thought they changed the slogan " don't be evil " to" don't be evil for free" 😛

I m on Brave but i never touched the crypto part.
I use Firefox also a lot, i do not use chrome anymore ( for the memory issue ).
I do not use extensions basically so i have a real plain usage of the browser.

A few years late. <4GB netbooks aren't really much of a thing anymore.
But hey, better late than never I guess.
