Yes and no, for PC i totaly agree with you, but on console W3 is still a hit, but it's now from 2 gen ago... a bit dated on actual gen. It's an easy refresh that can make some easy money, and please some PC user too that don't have yet W3. Also it will not make next Witcher late.

Im calling it now: They are gonna release the Witcher 3 as it was shown in E3 before the downgrade, cus not consoles can actually run that.

A higher quality graphics version of the game for PS5 and Xbox Series S/X. That's it. I mean, it will also be on PC, but other than that who knows. Nothing?

Well from what I've gathered the next gen console versions will be optimized for the respective machines and will probably run at higher resolutions and have better quality settings. The PC version will get Raytracing and better textures.

It's free Tbh I kind of like the idea of companies upgrading older games as time goes on. Like movies going from VHS, to DVD, Blu-ray 4K, etc... as long as the originals are still playable and the upgrade is either free or really cheap, I think it's cool -- extends life to the game.

and I might be ready to play Witcher 3 by then??o_O I expect DLSS and FSR on pc side thing and on Consoles side 60FPS with atlest 1440p~4k seeing they like to use dynamic res these days
