Why would Giga care whether I buy just their mobo or mobo+CPU. $80 care no less!! This sounds like one of those Intel's incentives. Not saying it is.

Intel gives chipsets for free to Giga and they offer rebates if u buy an Intel CPU. That way Intel "is not paying" in cash like on IBM case (?) Seriously, there's little room for different interpretations here xD

I made similar deal with my Asus Z97+4690K combo, worked out fine. This looks like a good offer aswell, tho i wouldnt be interrested in a gigabyte motherboard after the horror stories on poor component quality i come across.

I thought they were giving money back to the buyers of entry level motherboards after they changed components for lower quality ones.
