definitely suffering from the "ugh not another CoD" mentality. I did buy Advanced Warfare and actually quite enjoyed it - it was different enough in game mechanics with the suits that i personally felt it wasn't just another rehash of older CoD games like ghosts, or MW2 and newer. this one though, i think will fall right back into that trend of same old game with a slightly different campaign and almost identical multiplayer. i may buy it if it comes on sale for %50 off. there is no way im paying full price for it though.

I just read on TPU that it eats up over 12GB of System Memory and up to 8GB Video Memory @ 2560 x 1600. Optimization much? ^^

SMH. I really hate to be one of those people who piles on to the hatetrain, but I can't for the life of me understand who keeps spending full price on a game like this when its just the same frigging game over and over. If you took someone who was a fringe gamer, perhaps even a moderate gamer, amd sat them down and had them play all the different versions of COD after Modern Warfare (COD4).. I would bet money that they wouldn't be able to tell which game was which..

Pretty much sums it up. I havent touched COD since Blacks Ops II and that was just to test it out.

While I will say it's a COD spree every year, as long as it has dedicated servers and mod tools then to me it is the true successor to Modern Warfare.

Honestly that is fair.. The biggest let down for me was when they removed dedis after MW. So the inclusion of dedis once again is a good step forward. That for me though isn't enough to help me overlook the complete redundancy this series has become. they'd need to really change around their core gameplay and theme to get me to come back at this point.

Hahaha, no surprise, every cod game that comes from treyarch and nvidia has problems.

From what ive been reading, dropping shadow maps (atleast if using dynamic shadows) and textures to high, fixed the majority of perf issues. Either both are broken or simply the bestest eva :/ Alt-tabbing out and back in seems to fix the game going stealthy into b-windowless at start up. if anyone has higher than native resolutions checked/forced via control panel, game seems to auto set to this upon initial launch, hence low ass fps. http://steamcommunity.com/games/311210/announcements/detail/65660838743901927
6 November - TA_PCProd Hi everyone, We are super excited to be rolling the game out and we are actively looking through the community feedback. There have been reports of certain i5 CPUs having performance issues causing very low frame rates - We are still working on the final solution for this issue, but we have had reports that changing WorkerThreads = 4 to WorkerThreads = 2 in your config.ini file can help (In the game folder, commonly located here, C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Call of Duty Black Ops III\players\config.ini). We have also noticed that some systems may get better input response with FPS Cap set just below refresh rate. If you have a 60hz monitor, you can try enabling Vsync and setting your FPS Cap to 58. -TA_PCProd

I will give Treyarch this, they try to change gameplay and add new content and features to COD. Whereas Infinity Ward/Sledgehammer just kind of...Reboot it over and over. They just add on to features already in the game...Treyarch originally added zombies, added fun game modes, community game time, all that fun stuff. It took IW MW2 to add...Spec ops? Which suck.
