Or they can play Overwatch :P (not mentioned above, but I believe it will be treated the same, if it ever supported XP / Vista). Anybody still running XP and Vista will find a way to install another OS on their rigs I believe 😉

Asian eShops have W10 Pro keys keys at 1/5th price we have it. And one transferable license here is 8x more expensive than OEM there. If they can afford to play for WoW or Diablo 3, they can afford Windows 10. (Windows 10 Pro comes at cost of 2 months of WoW.)

What "support"? If these games were running yesterday afternoon, and they run today, and will be running during next summer on XP machines, why would not they run in December 2017? Any patches made after the "supported period" technically comply with the kernel - the structures remain the same.

Those greedy bastards should end support for wow because it's ancient game still using one cpu core and diablo 3 was fiasco too but noo they need money from population aged 7-15 years of age because that's what wow had become big kindergarten but hey money rules! :wanker:
So, your solution is to stop supporting games that people have bought? 🤓

So because you don't like WoW it needs to die. Oookey.

As a die hard Warcraft 1-3 fan I wish they'd stop. You can only really butcher lore so far but every year they take another ridiculous step and hack it into more pieces. OT: Surprised they still supported XP and Vista after all this time. Thought they already dropped them when the new engine was released.

Yeah WoW looks like a Quake 2 based engine, couple of a bit sharper textures cant make for missing bump mapping, shadows, proper lightening and casting, proper quality geometry. The game play alone is broken because of the way u kill enemies - like 1 at a time. I watched a big amount of videos and they are all boring as hell and on top of that u have to pay for this nintendo 64 quality a lot. I know u do not play with just graphics but there are boundaries for my eyes.

Since the OSes those programs run on have or are soon having their support completely ended, its risky for an online service to support those end-of-life OS machines operating as vulnerability gateways to their online services. Simply put, for an online service to end support for a vulnerable operating system is justified to prevent any additional paths an exploit can take.

So... your idea of greed a 13-year-old game still being maintained? Also, there's this thing called punctuation - use it.

WoW now requires at least a dual core CPU and a quad is recommended. It's also still a very good game that has seen a resurgence in popularity. Impressive for a 12 year old game. Also, how is Blizzard any greedier than any other game maker? They're all in it to make money.

You do not only kill things one at a time. All the classes have AOE abilities that hit multiple targets. The graphics are fine. WoW actually puts a heavier load on my system than Forza: Horizon 3 does.

They can put OS detection routines into the game that prevent it from running on an unsupported version of Windows. That is what I expect will happen.

I am guessing all this means is the games will be DX11 only? or... well.. Doesn't Vista Support DX11?

Do I really have to ? http://imgur.com/download/NAe59Yr If u remove the grass which is cheap to create and blocks the image a bit, there is nothing on that screenshot which is considered as good as Doom 3 - the game created also in 2004. I really do mean, WoW is on a Quake 2 level, Quake 3 was better... My eyes bleed, shadows missing, blurry textures, horrible in every way.

Diablo 3 recently got a DX11 and 64bit update. They're planning to do it for all their games afaik. Pretty welcome change too. D3 runs so much more smoother and has decent AA.

We still on about WoW Graphics? Legion looks fantastic on Ultra, stop bitching about it already. I'm still having fun after being a Sub for 11 years in a row this month.

Actually, WoW has proper multi-core support. The game engine was patched for it back in 2008 when DX10 support was added.

WoW has supported DX11 since the Cataclysm expansion. It also has a 64bit executable. I wouldn't be surprised to find out that they're ditching the 32bit executable though. WoW supports OpenGL, DX9 and DX11. It supported DX10 during Wrath of the Lich King, but DX10 support was dropped in favor of DX11.
