Very interesting device. If could be used with external monitor and both touchscreens enabled would be brilliant for things like Elite or flight Sims provided the graphics capability is ok. See what the spec comes out like!

this is the first practical use of the LG bendable OLED that was all over CES - countertops blending into backstops blending into walls or cabinets was all very psychedelic, but this is the "killer app".

This kind of laptop only works on people who have to look at the keyboard to type. Even Asus acknowledges how impractical this is as an actual laptop when they show someone typing on a separate keyboard. I see this more as an extra-portable tablet and should be advertised as such. People shopping for a laptop would not be looking for something like this, but people shopping for a tablet very much would be.

Touch keyboard is always ... At best meh ! Now folded this thing will be very small for the screen real estate you carry ... I can see the appeal, it looses a lot of it if you absolutely need to carry a bt keyboard around with it.

To me.. all this foldable stuff is a bit like the Curved TV hype that died pretty quickly .. I don't really see the benefit other then "because we can". It will have a niche market for sure, there are some use cases I can see, but I don't think this will be the next big thing.. like those folding phones. Maybe I am just getting to old to get excited about this kind of thing 😀

I can see the appeal for those who want a large portable display. But that's literally all it's good for. I think Asus would be better off just making this an external battery-powered foldable display and nothing more. Since it's OLED, it might not even need a battery, but, the battery could just supplement whatever device it is connected to, further increasing the appeal. I think that would sell well, because the kind of person who would want it is someone who likes to have multiple displays but has to be on-the-go, and something like this would allow you to have a large display while having the same length and width as a normal laptop.
