i really like the idea, maybe one day we will see better packed ITX motherboards with the connectors in the back

" with no news on compatible PC cases as of yet " I think I'm beginning to see the problem here.

I like the idea as you could hide all cables on back in stead of front. but this requires redesign of cases for it to work. I dont see taking off without that, asus will have to make there own cases that compatible with this, before it goes anyway. maybe if connectors where flat agianst the back like GPU psu connection is, then maybe this could work with just the riser screws, but that could cause other issues with height I wonder how many people will buy this not realizing this and be pissed

Well..... they "unveiled" it, they haven't released it. So.... i'm assuming until there's a suitable place to install it.... probably zero people buying it. I can't help but feel like this isn't the first time something of the sort was teased.... and I always wondered why they never started designing motherboards and cases around this idea. Cleaner looking inside, less obstructed airflow. Kinda figured LONG ago that after the 90-degree angled 24-pin and 8-pin EPS power connectors, figuring out rear-mounted connections was the next logical step. And it realistically wouldn't take all that much of a redesign. 98% of motherboards have a damn near identical layout for all the major connections (EPS connectors along the top to the left, 24-pin around the top half of the right side, frontside connections for power, reset, etc... at the bottom right). Just start making cases with something akin to the CPU backplate cutouts that have become standard on basically every case made nowadays. Just a slot cut out just under the edge of where the motherboard would go, between the mounting holes for the standoffs. Having those holes punched through and then curled over to eliminate sharp edges, like how the CPU backplate cutouts tend to be, there probably wouldn't even be any discernible loss to structural rigidity.
