Well I know what monitor I'm getting. Hopefully they have a Freesync equiv coming out.

I don't care how many bells & whistle options it comes with, the fact is 27' is too damn small for 4K. 32' screens should be the minimum size for 4K, end of.

I can only hope that they also make a 30" variant of this, I really want a size increase from my 27" as well when I upgrade. 🙁

I'm really curious to see one of these Quantum Dot monitors with my own eyes... I'm gaming on an IPS panel and that glow can be really annoying in the darker scenes. Perhaps this has been fixed with the QD things?

But just think, at that size and screen resolution you'll not need to use ANY AA for games. That's some real tight pixel density. Personally I'm waiting for a Ultra Wide 34" with 144hz then I'll get a new monitor.

This is the monitor i've been waiting for but WHEN is it coming out?

Game changer, literally. I don't know what people are moaning about the screen size as its the first of its kind. They probably calculated a bigger panel would not be affordable to the average consumer so are testing the market at 27"

This is the monitor ive been waiting for, dont really need any bigger than 27 inch when your sitting ontop of the bloody thing. I reckon this will be £999

I use a 27" 4k screen as my primary and with 125% scaling it's absolutely perfect, I rarely find applications that don't support scaling and if I do they just get dragged to my secondary screen. Looking forward to a freesync version in the future!

From https://www.reddit.com/r/Monitors/comments/5m111i/first_4k_144hz_ips_monitorasus_swift_pg27uq/ it looks like it's gonna have a MSRP of $1199, which would probably translate into a similar amount in £ :/ EDIT: It also looks like AU Optronics is involved 🙁 http://www.geforce.com/whats-new/articles/nvidia-g-sync-hdr-announced-at-ces-2017

I do have 4K 27'' and i notice staircase effect. So no. At least 8K for 24-27'' and 16K for 32''+
