So is it WQHD or 4K? Both are mentioned everywhere...

Also any news that prompted this post? It was announced in January already, afterall.

only HDMI 2.0 Nice joke ASUS
people will need to use DP 1.4 with DSC. Its so ironic how this monitor is targeted for esport games and players need to use DSC, which will introduce ***latency***

Seems pretty sweet. 1440P at 360hz would be awesome for eSports - especially considering the fact that this thing will be optimized to have minimal input latency and is specifically targeting competitive usage.
People who complain about Asus using DSC over Displayport 1.4a cables are just scalpers looking to buy and sell 🙄, as DSC has been proven to create less than 1ms of latency. If this display really has minimal input latency + the fact that it has a G2G time more similar to a TN panel (with the new pixel color shifting method) then this would be an amazing monitor for fast paced games.
But in all honesty, I'm gonna pass... For a similar price I can grab a 4K panel with a high enough refresh rate for my personal satisfaction. That way I could have a more future proofed setup - especially considering the fact that you would probably need a 4090 to run any modern, non-competitive games at 1440P @360hz consistently. But with a 4090, you would run games at around 200fps @4K (with lower settings) lol.
So overall, for competitive gamers with a top notch system: YES!
For those who don't play competitive games professionally/don't have a top notch system: Probably not the best thing to drop a grand on.
Just my opinion here, of course.

In what world could you possibly need a 360 hz refresh rate.
