I've adjusted the soc voltage to 1.25. No way I want to take risks with the 7950x and MSI Meg Ace considering just how expensive this new gear is.

I hear ya Maddness. I'm with ya 1000%. My 7950X has become a nice source of additional income. She's been running like a champ thus far. This is truly a production work horse.

I bet many could probably get their SOC really low, i got it set as low as 1.12v on my Asrock with 7900 non-x cpu with no issues and passing a few stability runs. Still 1.12 seems a bit insanely low, so i left it at 1.15 and that's that i guess. That's with XMP at 6000, and still a little tightening on some secondary timings only. (maybe its a good thing my ram only does XMP and not EXPO)

Good luck getting the average joe to update a bios... This is recall worthy.

I have VSoC 1.2V on my 7950X3D. Works perfectly stable.

idk... has anyone correlated the soc voltage w/ram speed? i mean to me it seems like the culprits are over-enthusiasts buying the high end ram 6600+ but that is a guess logically the more common ram timings should have more of an example - but they do not (or this would've come up sooner) so the "avg. joe" wouldn't be affected at all
