I have found the latest monitor releases within my audience market (gaming and media consumption) to be lackluster. I don't want to stretch a 1080p image across 27" and I do not accept 400nit maximum brightness to be HDR. I'm hoping that when Samsung completely shuts down their LCD lines and start producing OLED that my segment of the market will see OLED panels, but I don't expect to see that for the next two, three years. There clearly is a market for panels such as those in this article, because it's all I see come out for the last two years almost.

I love 75hz monitors. I think 75hz is a perfect mix of fps without pushing a lot of wattage. If this was 1440p it would be in my sights but not 27" with 1080p. Pushing 75 fps is pretty easy for me in most games but my 980G1 is slowly becoming obsolete. Waiting on nVidias 3XXX where i'll get a 3070 or if not too expensive 3080. Still i won't be pushing 144hz or more any time soon.
