And when first gen Ryzen motherboards were released, Asrock wasn't making lengthy efforts to have the best from the bunch. But they were cheap and good enough. Second gen got Asrock team on the right track, and latest gen pushed to the next level. Kudos to AMD, they really gave us all something to remember with Ryzen.

and not just Ryzen mobo's, but Threadripper as well. Asrock is far more compelling in that arena with strong VRM performance (sometimes surprisingly so given spec) and compelling price points. for Ryzen Asrock has been applying the newer tech with more rapidity than others (i.e. 2 M.2's on gen 1 Ryzen, etc...) and really giving that value proposition without feeling cheap.

They were decently quick getting out their bios updates during the Ryzen 3000 launch too. Many of the bigger companies were much slower. I bought one of their dirt cheap X570 boards, and they still updated it pretty quickly which I think speaks pretty well of them. I'll keep using them for mobos unless they give me a reason otherwise.

Maybe there is a possible side effect of AMD fans looking for Ryzen motherboards from a manufacturer, which didn't roll over and play dead when Nvidia claimed their gaming brands solely for their GPUs? That excludes ASUS, MSI and Gigabyte. It's at least how I react, by making my displeasure know through the purchasing decisions.

Heard good things about Asrock but never owned one of their boards or gpus. Well, maybe one day...

Well they sold two boards to me in 2019... so I guess I contributed a tiny bit to that 31.61% increase. Both systems are on 24/7 and working stable.... so no complaints from this customer !

I had been using ASRock I did 2 builds with them [Extreme 4 990FX with a 965 @ 4.0 ] & [Extreme 9 990FX with a 8350 @ 4.8] before I went to Ryzen 2700X and then decided to go Asus x470 VII, but knowing what I know now I might have saved and just got another AsRock. I was assuming I would be overclocking but these run right working on there own so default settings for the most part and a few tweaks for the RAM running @ 3200 with the timings as tight as I could get it to. But I know this board will last forever so there is that. My opinion anyway AsRock worked great for me.

I bought the Asrock X570 Phantom Gaming 4, it was the cheapest X570 board at Micro Center. Got 50$ off of the price due to the 50$ (at the time) combo discount with Ryzen MSRP retail purchase. Bought a bunch of other you-need-them-to-build-a-new-computer parts at the time, too. Really happy with it. It's not had any issues at all running the 3700x, or my Micron 'Bargain-Bin' 3000mhz CL15 (2x16gb) 32gb of RAM using XMP. Glad I gave them a shot, as the Asus board had too many features held back at this price point by comparison. Open-ended PCI-express slots (a must even though don't use it often), intel gigabit NIC, 8 internal sata ports and plenty of USB, and ABSOLUTELY NO R G B puking rainbows* on my desk sealed the deal for me! Almost got the MSI MPG but I have noticed less quality from them in the past (on motherboards, their GPU's were fine and usually good). The MSI MPG would have been fine at stock, but anything over that is a no-go with the MSI MPG's VRM - not that I will ever overclock - this is a production machine. Only one con: It supports Sata port HOT PLUG feature. I can't find the toggle for this in the BIOS for the life of me, and a drive I plugged in didn't show up in the computer, so I assume it's off. I like to pop the side panel off periodically to put in various hard drives and put data on or off them (I use them only as backups), especially when I am working hard on my project and I don't wish to close everything out and shut down the machine. *Thank goodness they still make professional level non-windowed (and sound deadened) cases, that don't let the discotech run rampant over my desk. I'm almost 40, I don't need that pizazz and certainly won't pay for it. TL/DR: Didn't have any issue with an ASROCK non-solid cap board in an email / office AM2+ machine for 11 years (maybe more?) now, it's *still* going. I don't know why or how. Have had zero issues with my x570 outside of not being able to find where HOT PLUG feature is toggled in BIOS. Still love it.

Next build will be with ASRocks I think. I like the Taichi boards.

see that intel? no need to drop compatibility every other "gen" to make that chipset money

I've used a bunch of ASRock boards over the years. As long as I don't drop processors on the sockets, they hold up very well. So far, only 1 failure (P67 Pro3) and that was due to dropping a processor on it's socket.... My next build I'll probably go back to ASRock...

Don't remember the model but I had an ASRock board back in 05, 06? The one that had an AGP and PCI Express. Was using an AGP Geforce 6800 Vanilla and was able to flawlessly upgrade to a 7600GT PCI E. Very cool stuff at the time.

My current haswell-e rig from 2015 with overclocked 5820K is using an Asrock, never had any issue with it over the years.
