Quantum Break will release in a month and a half with dx12, then we can compare nvidia to amd in a practical sense. And even then amd has an advantage thanks to amd hardware in the xbone, but my gut says the 980ti will still be the king of performance there.

I agree on the fact that this game is getting massively hyped for it's tech for being the first, but it sure does look pretty crappy to me too.
If massive numbers of units on an otherwise desert like landscape is your thing, you're in for a treat I guess. But in that case I suggest to just get an ant farm ...

But Fable Legends has Async and a Ti beats the 390x, the Fury and the Fury X. So I'm not sure how you're drawing that conclusion. It obviously depends on the game.
Well Async On vs Off AMD shows a massive performance gain, which is only available on DX12. So I would imagine that DX11 vs 12, the gains on AMD's side would be significant. Unless your talking about DX11 vs DX12 (Async off) which I guess would be interesting to see.
These updated results are no different then the ones that came the first time around, so I'm not really sure why people like GeniusPro are acting surprised. We've basically seen this already.
Also didn't an Oxide developer confirm that Async is now enabled in the more recent Nvidia drivers and that they aren't using it yet?

Async isn't enabled on NV GPU's with public drivers.

Just that the game uses a bit of async compute doesn't give AMD advantage, but when you start using it more and more, it starts to make difference. Fable legends used 5% of compute tasks?

if I read that right, games can choose whether to support explicit multigpu mode, if that's the case I wonder how this will end up, with NVidia/amd backed titles "not supporting" this tech, at least we will have a possible backdoor there for modders

So I should see decent boost when async is being used \o/ Nice to see AMD working nicely in dx12 vs dx11 when there is async involved.

You also have the devs saying the same thing as NV if you bothered to look at Denials post.

I would like to see a explicit multiGPU benchmark with the IGP together with the dGPU, especially the Broadwell CPU ones with the 128mb EDram. Would this make a difference and how much? (thinking of offloading post processing to the integrated cpu that sits there unused maybe).

Good show for AMD , only time will tell chaps , i look forward to the day when i can swop back to the red team 🙂 , i would love to support them again but they need to show the performance in all games ,not just one benchmark . Cant wait for this time next year when there should be a few d12 games , i would like to keep my two 980ti for at least two years 🙂

AMD is looking good in DX12.
