How would repair even work? I bet the tires would be married to the rim and won't be replacable, by your local garage.

I guess they figured out people don't want to buy a new car every year.

They've been late to the party, also.

Easy, you have a flat tire, you buy another car.

Never understood why Apple was thinking about making cars.

They might have had great success if they didn't take 10 years to long to get a car model out in the first place. Selling something branded to early adopters could have worked easily, where they could have charged crazy marges too, like they do with their hardware. But too little, too late... the rumors have been around since at least 2020, and 4 years later they're no closer than "we do software".

Agreed - now there's way too much competition in the high-tech EV space. Apple may have an edge with their brand name and everything tied to their ecosystem, but they would probably be better off partnering with a company like Lucid or BMW for a special-edition "Apple-experience" car. I'd say Tesla could be another candidate if their build quality was better. Let one of these other companies do all the hard work and then they just shove their software and gadgets wherever they see fit.

Well I guess everyone is going to get plugged into another world created by AI, so cars are useless 😛

Repair work will be undertaken by Apple Gurus at a local Apple garage. The garage is also an Apple store and a cafe, with charging pods. Sleeping beds are also providing on request, pillows are an extra charge.

Don’t forget about the PRO version. You’ll get a 0.5” larger center console for the low low price of $50,000. Want a ram and storage upgrade? No problem, that’s just $2,000 per 1GB of additional RAM… AND storage!
