"almost bezel-less design on 3 sides" is not frameless.

Why is pure cancer? It's the truth. Vendors sell this as gaming hardware, but gaming at 27 inch with that low resolution is atrously bad, and the level of jaggies is very high. The performance you could gain by going that low resolution you loose by enabling AA. And I'm talking by experience, I tried to use one but I sold it with because I could not stand it. 24 inch is the max I would go for 1080p.

You still need AA on 1440p, besides most of us cant afford a new GPU every year. With mine budget 1440p would be doable when a midrange card could handle that resolution as good as my 480 handls 1080p and since I have bad eyesight that resolution is easier on my eyes with weaker glases that I use at home.

Yeah well, that's only your opinion, as a gamer i'd rather have 1080p with 144hz refresh rate, than a higher rez monitor stuck @ 60hz.

Games and movies look perfectly fine. Just fonts on the desktop looks grainy. It's the same effective resolution as a 56" 4K TV.

I hate that most reviews NEVER include the format of HDMI OR DISPLAYPORT that the moniter supports. :P blah..then you have to hunt for it FOREVER. :P blah. For some of us, thats a dealbreaker, having an ancient HDMI standard connection. /rantover

I used to have a 27" 1080p. Games/movies look fine as stated, but its desktop, text and other elements where pixelation may stand out. 1440p resolves this. 1080p is fine up to 24".. but you're stuck with a small monitor.

Ha ha, that and more specific panel information can be a real pain to look up at times. 😀 EDIT: For a 1920x1080 resolution it wouldn't need the bandwidth advantages found in newer DP and HDMI revisions though there might be other features of interest of course besides that. 🙂 (EDIT: Ah but it's a 144hz and it supports FreeSync.) EDIT: For the 2560x1440 monitor. http://aoc-europe.com/en/products/specification/ag322qcx
Scanning Frequency Scanning Frequency HDMI2.0/DP : 30 -230KHz (H), 48-146Hz (V)
EDIT: And the 1920x1080 one. http://aoc-europe.com/en/products/specification/AG272FCX
Scanning Frequency Scanning Frequency 30~160KHz; 48-146Hz
Guessing it's 2.0 as well even if it's unlisted for this one, Display Port I'm a bit uncertain about but 1.3 maybe then?
