Not bad but the 2600 is 20 Euro less expensive, it might be interesting to compare old gen 2600 6/12 versus new gen 3500X 6/6 as they are in same price range (and they have a huge stock of 2600 to sell) ...

That huge L3 cache really does help.

An unnecessary part.
Have they hit rock bottom in salvageable Zen 2 7nm dies ? Or we'll see something even worse in the future...

Seems solid for $150. I mean the 3600 makes a lot more sense for overall desktop use, but if your main thing is playing games then the 3500x offers almost the same performance as a 3600.
I think the 2600 makes sense as well, but overall I think the 3500x is going to be faster in games as it's very close to the 3600, which is up to 15% faster in games, though probably weaker in applications.
Good niche product, though personally I'm going for the Ryzen 3600x

To me, these new Ryzen could be used to build inexpensive Xen Orchestra machines and maybe some SOHO servers.
Only that I need more information about the virtualization technology available for new Ryzen.
I would like to test some VMWARE baremetal on Ryzen platform.
AMD, please send some SKUs my way, I promise to deliver a paper on this.
