Well I'd argue the 5800X is in an uncomfortable position as far as price is concerned vs Zen 2 products. Only the 5900X seems unchallenged imo. Intel have nothing in that price range worthwhile, or even available to purchase.

Based on the info we know about the 5800X, it seems like it should be a real hefty upgrade over the 3800X. I suspect the 5700X is going to use 2 core clusters instead of 1, and will likely have a price similar to the 3700X.

this is a great deal regardless and especially if the IPC gains are real.
from a marketing perspective, you are tying together "next gen" games and "next gen" CPU in the minds of consumers...with the lurking Big Navi there to tout "next gen" GPUs
