This is great news and good choice on the K-model so consumers know which ones from both camps to buy.

BLEH!
IIRC ALL Zen stuff is coming multi unlocked, these are just cherry-picked.

Notice how they keep giving hints except for everything but the damm price, I have a feeling we will be let down on that aspect but lets see, we waited this long whats another 2 months lol.

What i would love to know is number of PCIe lanes, ACS support and price.

I don't care if they call it the STFU sku just deliver on your promises this time please. I want to see the same explosion in CPU advancement that we have seen in the GPU department the last few years.

K models means higher stock clocks and TDPs
without cooler cost less for they but K-series will be more expensive for us...
:pc1:
K models annoucement means that AMD will not offer over 3.15GHz(stock) 3.30GHz (Turbo for all cores) 3.60GHz (Turbo for half cores) Models @95w or "K" models will have higher clocks @125w :infinity:

I think it's 2x8 lanes for the gpu portion pice-e 3.0 will support sli and cf, but I am not to sure what the rest of the lanes are for expansion cards? Someone here will answer that shortly I have a feeling. Price, price, price, price amd! Give us a valid reason why we schould switch from Intel. Anyone agree it needs to be Cheeper and perform similar to intel otherwise they can keep it for themselfs lol.

I honestly am surprised that this does not provoke any protest from the red team.
Usually when Intel does something like this the tenor is "they charge you extra for an unlocked multiplier", "extra price tag from Intel because of no comeptition" or anything like that.. With AMD it's totally normal and great and everybody loves AMD.
That's just hypocritical.

If AMD Zen competes with Intel's latest generation i5 and i7 cpu's (as AMD is saying) , then we can expect prices around those from Intel which are pretty high as always, in which case if I can choose AMD or Intel for the same price/performance I would most likely go for Intel.
Maybe AMD Zen will offer us a bit higher performance than Intel i5 and i7, similar TDP and considerably lower prices, then I would gladly go for AMD Zen for my next PC build

Nice , can't wait to see legit numbers.

I never understood why both AMD and Intel sold overclocker CPUs with heatsinks.
On the other hand, I never understood OEM brands or individuals who bought K/Black series CPUs and never overclock them, either. That seems to be weirdly common...

I kind of preferred the "Black Edition" moniker actually.
