I'm concerned about AMD...@ home I've run nothing except AMD cpus since 1999, and AMD/ATi gpus since 2002, and I make a point of supporting them by buying products based on their core-logic and their cpus & gpus, currently. I'm not worried about Intel--but I want to see AMD remain a competitive alternative--I have nothing whatever against Intel; I just don't want to see them all alone in the x86 cpu markets once again. (Shades of the $600-$1k Pentiums. Remember?) Like Microsoft, AMD made some serious mistakes in the last few years in the x86 cpu arena, but unlike Microsoft AMD doesn't have the financial headroom to make such mistakes and survive. Intel, too, can well afford to make the kinds of mistakes AMD can't afford to make. I think they (AMD) were dead wrong to run to the device craze started by the iPad (people have already tired of it) and ARM embedded cpus. I think there's still time for a complete recovery, and a robust future for the company, but AMD needs the muscle of powerful x86 alternatives to Intel to survive--so here's hoping Zen will turn out to be another Athlon...!...;) I mean, AMD did it once--why not again? That's the essence of competition, after all (Nobody thought AMD could do it then, either.) With the burden of the FABs off of its back, but with priority status at GF, AMD is in a very good position. Provided they come up with the technology. There's the rub, isn't it? The only reason AMD is here today is because it leapfrogged Intel technically with Athlon. I'd really enjoy seeing them do that again. With the current anti-trust agreements between AMD & Intel, AMD could capitalize on such an tech advantage as it was never able to do against Intel's stranglehold on the markets when the Athlon was introduced. Console deals are fine for providing a base of income from which to pay out expenses--most companies would kill for the console contracts AMD has won. But the company really needs to get back into the x86 desktop cpu business in a big way...If anyone can lead the company there it will be Lisa Su, imo...

I wish Nintendo would return to form, something with some actual power behind it. Like I get that their games are more focused on younger generation and stuff, but the console should at least be able to play current AAA titles. They can't ride the Wii/Wii U gimmick forever.

With the recent passing of Nintendo's late president, they may well take a different direction when the new President is chosen. He/she might have a healthy interest in competing with Sony/Microsoft. That can only be a good thing for gamers since we'd see better hardware and more 3rd party support. And with more 3rd party support, a wider variety of games - not just aimed at children

Bloody hell what are you still going on about? If it hasn't become obvious to you that Poland is not Nintendo's Key demographic, then you will never get it. They make enough money in EU and the Americas to not need to worry about alienating anyone else. You also seriously mentioned the 2 biggest countries involved in Piracy/counter fitting, China and Russia saying Nintendo should consider making consoles to appease them, even though Nintendo is a Japanese country that has beef with China. Pretty much everyone on here will disagree with you that Nintendo doesn't need to get on par with their graphics in their next gen home entertainment system or they will continue to lose market share. Also I don't remember Nintendo every reporting revenue in Polish zloty so your argument about price means squat to them

Poland may not be but whole continents would be the key for like making cash ? not appease them, just make cash. Nintendo never reported revenue in Polish zloty because there isn't any (no marketing at all for years) which is one of the many reasons they stuck so deeply in crisis now, they don't take any risk and just copy ideas from Sony or Microsoft, like now - going to AMD as Sony did and Microsoft did... bad news Nintendo - they were faster

For this reason, we’d like to win back the customers’ trust, and become a ‘brand,’ once again.” Shenmue 3 is coming big time and will need a ps4 or better console to play it. Made some of the best adult oriented consoles imo, black versus white like old times (sept for Dreamcast being white lol).

Or they could also go for a very cheap console that ppl from other than rich countries could actually afford ? ill show u what i mean, what i have to spend on a console: it costs me 1118$ for Nintendo Wii U Premium Black The Legend of Zeldalda or 1699$ for Sony Playstation 4 500GB + Grand Theft Auto V or just sell my GPU for 500$ and buy a new one for 720$ and spend the rest of the cash on games... that is the world for ppl wanting to play on a console - just too expensive and games my god: PS4 AAA titles goes for 329$ and PC like 150$ we do not complain much but man, so many without internet would u like an EVGA GeForce GTX 980 Superclocked ? 2389$ in this world - there would be a million dollar line in the front of a 1 shop if wii u was for 300$ and games for 10-30

No kidding. My interest started to decrease starting with the N64 (No CD? WTF!) and hasn't recovered. After seeing Mario64 with the Unreal 4 engine, all I can say Nintendo HAS to be taking notice. Gamers want pretty games; The Nintendo Universe need it!

They SHOULD be listening to these gamers that want graphics. It is the only way they can even begin to make a comeback. If they release another system stuck in sub-1080p land with no AA they are dead in the ****ing water. Period.

*snip* You have no idea what you are talking about. Nintendo has released games that are 1080p and 60fps on the Wii-U. Also even though other games that were limited to 720p were still 60fps.

On N64 and Gamecube nintendo was so far ahead of the other consoles graphically I was in shock, to pretend that graphics mean nothing when nintendo has gone from far in front to far behind is B.S. I guarantee you that if they made a a console powerful enough to have on par or better multiplat games, your average gamer would buy a nintendo console again and there would be the install base again to justify a lot of first party games, but as it stands now there are garbage cash in games and little to no first party games worth buying . 2015 and still no new Wii U Zelda, nintendo has lost their minds and their leading years had a lot to do with the graphical power of their consoles. Remember how n64 had Shadows of the Empire and Mario 64, and PS1 had basically fixed camera corridor sprite based resident evil games, it was laughable how far behind sony was
