Didnt samsung and amd already collaborate on upcoming galaxy phones?

So, would it be X86, or AMD modified it for ARM arch? EDIT: says ARM in the picture...

Doesn't Gaugin normally spell Gauguin ? Or Gaijin ? I am confused 🙄

Not so much "ryzen" since it uses cortex cores :P

100% bullshit rumor. Most of the specs are copy-pasted from existing chips, the rest is very speculative and there are no surprises at all. Aside from that AMD already has the aforementioned collaborations with Samsung and if they had intended to diversify into mobile SoCs we would have heard something, anything, about that before now. Plus, they wouldn't be called Ryzen as that's a very specific niche of AMDs processors.

Sounds like it will be rather power-hungry for a phone. This is performance comparable to the Tegra series, which you don't find in phones. If Nvidia (who has been at this for a while) can't get into phones, AMD isn't going to do it either with these specs. Might make for an interesting tablet, though.

I'm sure it will be blazing fast, but I was hoping this meant some radical new CPU tech or architecture AMD had devised that was going to up-heave the phone world. But alas, it's a Tegra.

why that feels like amd winks to nitendo ? :P

X1 and A78 were just recently (last week) publicly announced by ARM and there are currently no processors based on either.... There is no currently available data on power consumption or performance for X1 or A78 as there are currently no processors based on either. We also have no power consumption or performance data on the mentioned "custom" RDNA2 mobile GPU.... ARM predicts that A78 will consume less power at the same performance level as A77......or 20% more performance at the same power level.... Even ARM doesn't know the actual power consumption. ARM provides no power consumption estimates for X1.... At least not in the articles I've read in the week since the announcement. ARM did say that Cortex-X1 is targetted specifically at "flag ship phones" and "larger screen devices"..... Based on that, I wouldn't expect to see the described processor in anything but "top of the line" devices where performance is of greater concern than power efficiency..... Could even end up in something like a Samsung netbook running Windows on ARM or ChromeOS.... Or hell, could be in a Samsung smart TV.... Tegra has been used in phones and tablets.....just nothing recent. NVidia isn't trying to get into smartphones.... They abandoned the smartphone market years ago.

It's 2 new (just announced last week) ARM core architectures......and a new(?) mobile GPU..... None of which have any relation to NVidia or Tegra....

Yeah i just watched a video where they talked about this and they say this is fake. Also this a copy paste from one of the Snapdragon chips.
