Thought the 3800X was a 4.5GHz turbo..... might be wrong though 😳 Just think, with the FSB at 102MHz it would have done 6GHz single core, oh well nevermind 🙄

LN2 is completely IRRELEVANT...

The first official review for the R7 3800X is up now, over at Tom's Hardware. All tests were performed with RAM at 2933 though, which is strange.
Where'd you read that bit about the ram?

So don't come into a post/article about LN2 then and leave people who are interested and intrigued by basically ultimate stress testing a CPU have their fun. No one forced you to come into this thread and read or even write your comment, just as no one forces me to go read articles about sports, hence why i don't go into forum threads and post how irrelevant sports are.

I think that was for ryzen gen 2 (ryzen+), not ryzen 2

OOT but kinda funny someone like saying forum post only for "same-interest-only" cmon this forum, people free to post their comment, irrelevant or not its their comment rather those commenting people comment is the one that OOT, no? for OC based test-review i read so far seems zen2 pretty limited, well cant expect single product to have everything best, nonetheless it still good cpu wonder if its TSMC process or like ASIC quality that influence chip OC capability ?

Is this good? deBauer got Core i9 9900K somewhere around 7.5 GHz.. https://valid.x86.fr/records.php
Considering how pretty much everyone is stuck at 4.2GHz with more practical coolers, yes, 5.9 is actually good. Not great, but good. The 7.5 on the 9900K is great, but, it's not that interesting anymore. Everyone knows Intel can OC high, especially if you've got an especially good chip. Nobody is surprised about 7.5, because at this point it's expected. Zen2, on the other hand, is fresh, and is known to be mediocre at OC'ing. So, seeing something like 5.9, although not impressive, piques interest.

There's actually quite a lot of restrictions on what you're allowed to comment here, and as far as I'm concerned, they're all justified. Although Borys wasn't being un-tactful (at least not IMO), the comment was still being needlessly dismissive. So, Aura89 has a valid point: going out of your way to state how something doesn't interest you is unnecessary. That's like a vegetarian walking into a burger joint saying "I'm not going to order anything". Ok... then get out... You're free to not want to eat burgers, but what do you hope to accomplish by going there and make everyone know you're not interested in the food? EDIT: IMO, the best thing about a comments section is to have a discussion. Explicitly showing disinterest is heading in the opposite direction. And yes, I do see the irony in this context.

So if someone came into every forum post/article that you are interested in with the sole purpose of saying this shouldn't be here as it's "irrelevant", you're saying that's valid discussion? You're saying you'd be okay with people actively trying to get rid of something you find interesting, all because it doesn't interest them? Right.......the articles/forum posts don't effect their ability to read the articles they do find interesting, so the only thing that is irrelevant, is their posts against things they were never forced to read. LN2 doesn't interest me that much, it's slightly interesting, but not extremely, so i read the article and see what it has to offer. But people coming into an ELECTRONIC-BASED FORUM trying to cater it to their specific needs and disregard others, that's a problem. I couldn't care less that a British bank places computer pioneer Alan Turing on a £50 bill, as has been posted in the hyperlinked text i just put down in this very forum, it's of no interest to me, but again do you see me going there just to tell the forum, or Hilbert, that this is of no interest, and should not be posted here? No. It's his forum he can do as he likes and if people fine it interesting, great! I'm glad for them, my interest or disinterest should not try and halt others interests.

^ Not surprised by your choice. The 3800X would have made more sense if it could have done 4.7GHz single core boost out of the box.
