Look at 3900X and think about 3950X, OMG!

People still play at 1280*720 on desktop PCs?

wow 4 years have passed and they still cant outperform skylake in games...

Lol, you wanna tell me your gaming at 720p with a ~1500$ rig? Right.
https://forums.guru3d.com/data/avatars/m/242/242134.jpg
And even if, its usually NOT at 720p. At least when i look at games that are newer like siege/bf/cod and not some 100y old cs stuff

They are doing very well.

I think new games will favor Ryzen over Intel anyway. Intel is pretty much dead in the water.
Just look at AC:Origins... Most of games are tuned for 4 to 8 concurrent high priority threads..

Newer AAA games are using more threads so that ends up favoring AMD. From a CPU perspective it's obvious the 9900K is still pretty damn good only thing wrong with it is its price. However what we don't see here is the 3800x which is AMD's 9900K competitor as it has a little higher base clock than the 3700x and 3900x. I think you are going way overboard saying Intel is dead in the water. I have a 1800x and it's been lovely and may even upgrade it to a 3800x but you are going way to far off the fanboy ledge.

Mostly no, but running games at a lower resolution shows, potentially, the "raw" gap between CPUs, specifically in games. Hence why when run in 4K, you see mostly no difference in any modern CPU no matter your setup, with rare exceptions. This shows that Intel is still ahead in many ways for gaming, but that AMD has come considerably closer. But more over, the fact they used 720p makes me very interested to see 1080p results, as that's typically what people who are just gung-ho about Intels FPS performance are interested in, it looks like the gap will be pretty dang close, whereas for everything else due to including multithreading and more cores for the cost, you'll get a better overall performing PC. But i'm sure there's going to be the people who state "SEE! Intel still best! Suck it AMD!" nonsense. Oh wait, there already is...

Fixed.

I'm a bit curious as to the actual clock speeds all procs were ran on including Intel.

Intel is dead. They have nothing for the next 2 years. They’re just going to bin and overclock every 14nm+++++ part they have and sell it as premium gaming parts. Their 10nm is never going to happen and they’re not going to get to 7nm anytime soon either. Have you seen their roadmap? They say their 7nm is on track lol they can’t even get 10nm working. They should just close down their fabs and go to TSMC like everyone else. Their 10nm is a little smaller than TSMC’s 7nm but they’ll never get it working.
Dude wake up, amd is the one thats slowly dying seriously what did u take to see otherwise ? THere, gpu,s are low-end crap There cpu are sh!t i bet my old 5930 can surpas a3900x with a good oc. AMD needs to stop making bs else they go bankrupt. https://www.reddit.com/r/Amd/comments/2vzk5z/amd_is_getting_very_close_to_bankruptcy_nobody/

that was 4 years ago.. today: AMD 6.31 https://www.gurufocus.com/term/zscore/AMD/Altman+Z-Score/Advanced+Micro+Devices+Inc today: INTEL 4.09 https://www.gurufocus.com/term/zscore/INTC/Altman-Z-Score/Intel-Corp So yes, stop with that bullshìt, you are really getting ridiculous ..

OMG you must be so scared right now. We all remember Intel's internal memo that leaked out a little while ago. Looking at the game slides where there is no difference in FPS between 3900X and 3700X tells me it's a lightly threaded game. Chosen with one purpose in mind together with the 720p resolution. Once the workload starts to increase Intel CPU's can boost very high compared to their single core speed and then what happens ? AMD's increased IPC starts to kick in and who looks bad then ?

You could also say that Intel have been ripping people off over the last 4 years.
https://forums.guru3d.com/data/avatars/m/243/243702.jpg
So, Zen2 closed maximal gap in between Zen+ and intel's best by 50% in worst case scenario... but being bit faster in best case scenario. Taking 9900K as reference, Zen2 is ranging from 15% slower to 2% faster in this scenario where GPU is not limiting factor. For 1080p with meaningful game details, there shall be no more KING this or that arguments.
