Thats really nice, so we get better support, more performance and easier overclockability and an easier setup. Nice!

It was needed. I checked last month, and there was only release driver for them. Now with new Windows 10 WDDM, it is reasonable to give those new APUs appropriate drivers.

I installed my first Ryzen 3 2200g machine hour ago and i still have only Standard graphics driver..

As I'm probably going to have a 2400G soon, I guess that's good. Haven't seen an AMD driver menu in quite a time (BF3 times)

On the old APU's it made sense to be on old drivers since from release they where based on old arch but these are actually ahead of their desktop parts so i don't understand why it was even like that.

I wish AMD would release graphics drivers more frequently, be it betas or whatever, just get 'em fixes out in the open.

Great to hear this news , and netflix for PC on this APUs support is coming đŸ™‚ , this will make it a perfect HTPC. A mini atx build with one of those 2400G would be really cool !

catalog.update.microsoft.com search for 'vega 8', they have drivers dated 4/11 & 4/17

Bugs?! AMD drivers are flawless, its our GPUs that after certain driver version get hardware flaws. That is why 1st gen GCN have hw acceleration malfunctioning with drivers released within almost 2 years now. I am sure I could still trigger mouse corruption with starcraft 2 but I did not played it for awhile. Auto fan speed not playing nice with 3rd party software (thankfully afterburner have workaround for it), also a hardware flaw. OpenGL performance, also a hardware flaw, Maybe if they read any of bug reports people sent to them, maybe they would have reason to release drivers often... AMD releases new APUs and does not get support, its not drivers issue, its a hardware flaw or even better. It is weak and outdated, you don't need new drivers (since this is very common excuse for many people, especially here, on guru3d forums).

Its remarkable that their cheapest product (apu) is in fact amd's ~most advanced. Its synthesizes their whole current arsenal on a single module. For more power than an apu, u must take a step back architecturally to laggy dual ccx ryzen, and Polaris or worse gpu architecture (or spend ~$650 on a vega 56 gpu now). Its a curious reversal of the norm, that cheap means older tech. Uppity apu owners could consider they have bragging rights over rx580 dgpu owners.

Its true games like dgpu, but game devs have never had a mainstream apu like this before, and imo, newer code will be more sympathetic to apuS. The APUs are beta (doh), and AMD have a lot on their plate, but their potential stands to reason. They achieve such extraordinary miniaturization. A circuit (dgpu/cpu/memory controller), formerly the space of an ~a4 page, is reduced to the size of a ~credit card. Throw in a new improved "Fabric" way of linking them, and we will see them competing against progressively higher dgpu pricepoints due to software evolution alone. I of course get tempted by the raw numbers of 8 core & dgpu, but then I think i would rather have this elegant swiss watch of a zen/vega solution, an ~identical ecosystem (zen & vega) to what the big boys use, only with less power. its a small budget pc with a big budget ecosystem thrown in free. & maybe it wont keep me waiting much/often - so it takes 15 mins instead of ten on a monthly job - meh - i can live with that over the hassle of a dgpu. We focus too much on raw numbers and not enough on balance.

That's a good joke right there.

I built two computers with the 2200G for a client, installed the latest driver from AMD, very pleased to see how the APU behaved. Now, even better drivers you say? Bring it on!

I built a 2200G last week and I've got parts on order for a 2400G to build this week. Out comes the A6-9500 for BIOS updates again đŸ˜€
