What are these useless updates ? Really, instead of trying somehow to optimise the existing game, to squish out every performance from Vega or from older GCN 1.0 cards like HD 77xx+, they release a driver with 2 supported games and 3 "little" fixes. I feel that AMD should make a little "underhood" updates, maybe Radeon Crimson 18 can have that, and those, at idle or startup to update "itself" with this kind of "sh#t" updates...AMD, you can do more, still rocking an HD7750 at record overclock(number 1 on gpubenchmark)

Nothing more than a guess but perhaps the upcoming release of Win10 RS3 has AMD focusing on having that supported in time for it's public release thus these smaller updates adding in some game support and updating the known issues list but not much more (That is listed in the changelog at least.) but who knows, there's likely several driver branches active though AMD doesn't seem to have multiple beta release drivers or Win10 insider-only driver updates compared to Nvidia and their recent driver releases.
We'll see with 17.10.1 I guess, hopefully there's more to it than WDDM 2.3 support too. 🙂

17.10.smth should be a total overhaul/perf driver specifically for VEGA...unless AMD/RTG shoot their own feet again.

They really need to resolve the Overwatch crashing issue.

I appreciate your update, but I wish there was more to these drivers, oh well, 17.10 is probably around the corner.

The Overwatch issues is not just small hickups.
Your lucky if you are able to complete a match without getting "Your rendering device has been lost" and crashing to desktop.
This has been going on for so long now, and when the issue was present on Nvidia drivers it got fixed fairly quick.

Who says some games might not run better with this driver ? Just because it isnt in on the changelog dosnt mean there isnt improvements to be seen in certain games and applications. From 25 years of driver updating i have found many instances where the game i play run better(or worse) and yet there isnt a single mention about it in changelog.

That's why I've been trying to compare the atiapfxx.blb file between driver updates, it doesn't give whatever other changes might be in the compiled .dll files but it does provide some insight into whatever AMD is currently working on though without knowing the driver itself in more detail it's probably very difficult to for example decode what some of these flags for Crossfire do. (With how many of them there are I'm not surprised it can be difficult to have some games supported, and now they expect developers to do this with DX12 and Vulkan ha ha, well it would be nice if it happened I suppose.)
