He we go again AMD XTXTXTX

Love the looks.

I wonder if we're going to see a refresh this year ? Not expecting new generation ( aka, RDNA3 ), but perhaps a RDNA2 with less cut shaders and higher boost clocks are fasible (like, AMD's "Super" variants)
By the time the mining craze dies down, these might actually exist at a more reasonable price.

Wow, it looks very nice (aesthetically) I like the metal front but wonder how the final will turn out...

Maybe AMD sell some of these directly through their shop some day.
120mm radiator if true would not be enough to sufficiently cool it if one want to do some real OC on it like on other XTXH cards which come with LC like Toxic Extreme or Liquid Devil Ultimat.
I mean most probably this will be limited then to something like 303W default power as 6900XT Ultimate the air-cooled version is.
The Liquid Devil Ultimate has 332W limit so total 382W with 15% from driver.
Because 6900XT Liquid Devil Ultimate is custom cooled you can keep junction temperatures in control with strong enough loop.

That is not limited edition. Polaris XTR is a best binned chip like mine. 😛
Edit : Well it is actually yours is also on the list.

If only the extra X stood for GDDR6X memory we might have finally seen what this card is fully capable of at higher resolutions.

Curious to see what AMD's version of the Navi21XTXH can do if this progresses to a actual product but if it is XTXH this would also be the worst of the current trio of existing cards for this chip.
Which let's see that would be these now I think.
AMD 6900 XTX (If it happens.)
Sapphire 6900 (U) XT Toxic
ASRock 6900 (U) XT Formula OC
Power Color 6900XT (U) Red Devil
and
Power Color 6900XT (U) Red Devil Liquid
Something like that, AMD would have a water cooling kit giving it a bit of a edge over air cooling plus it would not be quite as bulky but then it would be held back by the 2x 8-pin design unless they also change that.
Sapphire and their take on the new Toxic gets a 8+8+6 curiously enough.
And the rest are 8+8+8
Looking at the bios files on Tech Power Up it's around 300 - 330W and the 6900 is still somewhat power limited, within the reference limits within the reference limits since for whatever reason AMD keeps the 15% power draw slider thing it probably works but the cards don't get full "Unleashed" until you provide a bit more than that which you would need the additional power connector to fully leverage before hitting the voltage cap or thermal limit instead of being power draw limited. 🙂
But if AMD uses 8+8+6 or a triple 8-pin power delivery that's negated and then it has an advantage being liquid cooled and sustaining higher clocks before hitting the junction thermal throttle point for the temperature or possibly the voltage limit.
Assuming these are the best binned Navi21 chips the 1.2v could be able to push it a bit higher although current reviews don't do any favors for any of these you pay 2x to 3x the cost for a stock overclock and maybe an additional 3 - 5% gain before hitting the power limit again.
It's going to be like these Midnight Black editions or just about any 6000 series stock but if AMD can maintain them on their own website at more sane pricing at least that also makes these a viable purchase over the ridiculous 2500 Euro or US Dollar price range to the utterly insane 4000 US Dollars or Euro some stores are charging for these Navi21 XTXH chip GPUs.
EDIT: Also would be fun to see more benchmarks involving More Power Tool putting those 400 - 500W total possible to some use instead of having the GPU shut down around 350 - 400W with the extra power connector and maximum sustainable power draw increase.
Liquid cooling record is fun and all but peak regular usage and limits for the GPU would be entertaining to see as well I don't expect too much over the 6900XT and if kept cooled 2.5 - 2.6 Ghz seems like it's doable.
But a 2.8 Ghz cap is still a nice increase although yeah the current price situation is kinda crazy ha ha.
Or what it would cap at, higher limits and all but I don't expect the chip to hit 3.0 Ghz easily.
