I really hope they add something to these cards as someone else said if it where 12nm with maybe 1-200mhz increase then i think people will look the other way in terms of the re-brand x3 now.
It depends on power usage also. Clocks alone don't matter. If they cannot provide more speed/performance at the same wattage as of now, everyone will wait for Nvidia GTX 2060/1160.

Unless AMD releases a 1080ti competitor, they will remain irrelevant to 4k and high refresh rate gamers. Also Nvidia will continue their monopoly until then.

Not even worthy of the RX600 name I see, as the RX500 weren't. I don't mind refreshed products if they perform better and the name isn't confusing. If produced them at 12nm with GDDR6, they should be able to push them a little and keep price down. My only hope is to get one at MSRP.

Who cares about TI users? They do not bring the most money to Nvidia. Most selling gpus currently are 1050, 1050ti, 1060, 960, 950. Same to AMD users mid tier gpus rock. Not Vega users save them. IF AMD was more efficient perf/w, it would provide them tons of money.

No offense but not everyone is on a budget and there are plenty of us on 1080tis waiting for better gpus.

If it bring GPUs to the market for gaming, who cares if it is a "rebrand". Let's see. Nothing wrong with a 580 with 5% more performance. It's a good gaming card.
In theory it sounds nice, then all the "miners" will suck em up, and the prices will remain stupidly high. Then there will be the whole "availability" thing to deal with, if you are going to pay triple retail for a $250 card......

Sadly I think $350-400 will be the new msrp for gtx 1060/rx 580 GPUs. I hope I am wrong, but I do not see them being sub-$300 again .... regardless of mining.

Yeah I agree. If I owned a 3/4/5K monitor I would also buy forcefully a 1080TI. But, If you need a better Top Tier Gpu you need income. Nvidia is always the more profitable company, so, they are able to give the king of GPUs almost every round. You cannot expect ATI/AMD provide you a real opponent to this if they cannot sell the same amount as Nvidia at the mid tier or lower ones. APUs alone will never enable them give to the masses a TITAN like GPU, ever. Think it differently, Nvidia owns both lower/mid and top tier segments. They are overwhelming at the moment and personally dont give a **** about mining. Reality is reality regardless the scope you looking at with. Let's hope AMD can sell more GPUs this year.

I don't find this too much of a surprise. The entire "base" RX 500 series was underwhelming, and the miners bought the majority of that product lineup. In other words, the series was effectively non-existent to most consumers, anyway. So, AMD sees this as "let's just pretend that never happened..." but doesn't want to get sued, so they "re-release" the series with an X suffix and call it a day. It's still stupid, but hopefully this time around, the 500X series will be actually worth noting. EDIT: I'm sure AMD realizes that this whole product lineup is also going to be taken away by miners, so no point wasting the RX 600 series, when the 500 series is already wasted anyway.

So... Been reading a bit around, and this showed up: http://laptopmedia.com/review/acer-nitro-5-an515-42-radeon-rx-560x-review-not-just-a-facelift-there-is-a-new-engine-under-the-bonnet/ So... could it be they are simply the "new" mobile variant of the 560m? Because if it isn't, a respin of a respin for desktop would be simply.... Plus, they did promise to deliver "new" Vega chips, didn't they? Presumably Mobile, since computing and such will get it first.
It seems that yea, it's just a mobile GPU https://www.3dmark.com/compare/sd/5026715/sd/5026715# http://laptopmedia.com/video-card/amd-radeon-rx-560x/

I'm on a 4k screen now so a 1080ti was an obvious choice. Absolutely nothing from amd to chose from. I actually wish there was so I wouldn't have to spend so much on a GPU. Hopefully someday AMD finally steps their game up and things get good for us high res gamers. Until then there's Nvidias ridiculous prices and endless waiting I suppose.

Hopefully it might bring more performance , what is worrying right now it is the price as current VGA prices are out of this world 🙁

The only thing that could save all of us (gamers) is IF mining could become much more demanding. If there was a real need for more powerful GPUs for mining, games should also receive an even faster evolution or considerable boost. Depressing times we live.

As annoying as it might be, the miners might actually be what pushes the envelope. They have brought both AMD and Nvidia enough time and revenue to really make something special. Let's just hope they actually do. As I stated before, this 500X series is likely just a placeholder, since as long as stock keeps running short, AMD doesn't really have a reason to rush into anything new. I'm hoping the RX 600 series is what gamers will not only be seeking, but able to get their hands on. I suspect the 500X series won't be worth anyone's time or attention, either because performance won't be anything special, or, because miners will grab them all.

Maybe some competition from Eth ASIC could change the scenario. Let's see how the new Bitmain Eth ASIC hadware arriving in July affect GPU sells for miners (and in general). This ASIC (E3) numbers: 180 MH/s (megahashes per second) 800 watts of electricity consumption Retail price: $800 E3 ASIC VS "gaming" GPUs: https://cryptoslate.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/04/E3-Analysis-1.png https://cryptoslate.com/bitmain-e3-asic-ethereum-miner/ GO GO ASIC! 😀

Brace yourself , rebrandeon is coming
Yea cause Nvidia has never done this. Sadly AMD does not have the R&D like Nvidia does. But Nvidia used to be alot worse for this crap. @NGGJimmy Thank god I bought my fury before mining burst wide open again. Paid $245 new, 3 weeks later they were $450 used.

this sounds familiar...hmm...Oh yea, 7xxx, 2xx, 3xx..... yea, I think that's it. These come in 3s. PS. Yea, good luck with getting your hands on that BitMain E3, for 800$ nevertheless. I tried, no-go. Either order 100, or gtfo.
