Very exciting stuff to come but in those charts are u sure the 2ghz hbm will produce 1024gb/s because current hbm at 500mhz does 512gb/s, Theoretically shouldn't it quadruple that on the same bus size?

Underwhelming. But we do not even know if those are true or fake, or if they were tested on proper clock.
Only leak which was actually interesting was Myrtle with Bristol Ridge APU.
Tho, My report ended up without any real attention in CPU section. (Yes, ti was not good against intel, but APU to APU, good step.)

pay attention to offscreen values.
offscreen means rendering at the same resolution (1080p, or some other common res.)
and not at the display that testing device came up with
add 50% higher perf. (800MHz -> 1200MHz) and its close to 390X

Well it would be close on onscreen results. Far behind on offscreen 25-30%. While being the weaker card out of the polaris cards.
But well, we will see how these cards will turn out in 1½ months or so.

Am I the only one reacting to the fps of the onscreen results?
They look eerily akin to v-sync frame cap at 60 fps.
Taking the offscreen results into account this new card seem to deliver 46-72% of the 390X' performance. Not very impressive.
However, since we know nothing about the rest of test system, these values are sadly all but irrelevant.

Roughly 30% behind the 390x and being the replacement for 380. It would actually align it's performance right there with 380x so hmmh. We would have a similarly performing piece of hardware to 380x with 480 if these numbers are true at all. Which we do not know. It would be underwhelming indeed.
Even the 390x is short off 280x on opengl by some 30fps, Fury is losing to that 280x too. I don't like this test 😀 980 ti getting 370 fps in that manhattan 3.1 offscreen. It is pretty much all over the place these tests w/o knowing all the hardware.

Im not buying until i see double frame rate from 290x/390x .(example. from 60 to 120 fps in 4K)

Its a mid-range product, not targeting current 390/x owners but 380 owners. If priced $240-250, should be a big hit.

On screen is pretty close, but off screen could be a little higher.
But if this sucker can handle some voltage and some overclocking, that should either lessen or eliminate the gap. 😀

how is that close? am i missing something here or did everyone check the onscreen performance which is capped by vsync at 60fps and ignored offcreen the one that actually matters? :3eyes:

So let's say the specs of the 480 system aren't as good as the 390x one and the performance delta is closer to 20%. A 480x could definitely come in at 390x speeds, which is basically what we saw with the Hitman benchmark.
A 390x @ $300 / 232mm2 isn't bad at all. If they want to compete with Pascal, they could easily just xfire them or do a dual GPU based on it.
