Is this about the sudden driver crash followed by the "no input signal" on the monitor while gaming, or something that occurs only when launching the game? I"ve had the former happen many times while gaming, I've never had an issue at the launch of a game.

Definitely had it launching games heck even happened once launching 3DMark. But it’s absolutely random. I can make it happen more often enabling HDR in Windows but it is still totally random.

Never happened to me on launch, not even once on my LG widescreen Freesync monitor and my MSI RX480. The "device hung" and "no input signal" issues though are ever present. The only game I never had problems with was Wolfenstein, played using the Vulkan API.

From a quick read up on the driver on other forums and Reddit it looks like the Battlefield V fix might only apply for Vega since users report it fixed on that but then a few users on Fury and the 390 and 290 cards report it still occurring. Also looking like the increase in performance and other changes mean that overclocks including undervolting is not guaranteed to be stable on newer drivers so some fine tuning might be needed especially on Vega if there's any crashes. (Though this has popped up even in the 18.xx driver releases though the Adrenaline 2019 driver in particular and it's various changes have shaken things up a bit more than earlier.) No issues here so far, haven't tried the newer branch from Windows Update though but I wonder what those could bring although seeing how they are WDDM 2.6 compatible I expect it to be something like alpha or very early beta at best since the 19H1 release might be off in April somewhere before a public release and that's likely to be when these get a full release as 19.4.1 or something unless they do a regular release and a beta or something before merging it all in later on. And two more days until Vega VII, since that's not in these I guess there will be a separate driver though it could just be a split of the 19.2.1 or similar with support for VII until the next major driver release. Some titles popping out on the 15th (Metro Exodus, Crack-Down 3 and some others.) so probably around there for 19.2.2 then though there are some profiles already in there but further compatibility or performance gains might still be possible. (And someone needs to fix the existing Adrenaline 2019 issues too but eh it's taking some time it seems. WattTFMan and it's weird step-ladder fan profiles and other stuff.)
