depends on where you live, in canada its the 5800x3d is sitting at $475-550 cad , 250 usd puts it at $334 cad.

Both 5700x3d and 5800x3d are really great upgrade for am4 owners. I think there will be more 5700's in wild now and its a bit cheaper.

5700X3D (or go for the 5800X3D) might be a good upgrade for my 3700X at some point to keep my AM4 Platform alive just a little longer.

This is pretty neat. Give good options to stay on AM4, while the AM5 platform matures further and Intel sits in a bit of a weird spot with all their mega thermals.

Both 5700x3d and 5800x3d are really great upgrade for am4 owners. I think there will be more 5700's in wild now and its a bit cheaper.
I have a 5950X and am STILL thinking about replacing with 5800x3d - it would be much worse for all my CPU intensive productivity work... but... it would most likely speed up all my graphics frame-rates for desktop gaming and VR related stuff with that cache! I wish I could have both! Or... replace the 3900X in the sons gaming PC with one...

yes in a lot of stores prices are similar and sometimes lower for 5800x3d

In Canada the 5800x3d is currently 414$ and the 5700x3d 339$. After taxes that's almost 100$ difference
