it's been there for a while and it works just like that geforce experience. tho I'd rather not use it.

AMD have the best development method ever. They wait for Nvidia to come up with an idea then they steal it. Genius!

If they were like other companies are these days they'd patent nVidia's ideas then sue them.

pretty sure both amd and nvidia have 'embraced' gamers...you know, considering they're behind all the graphic cards?

Except that nVidia didn't come up with it....

was a member from the beta days then last week they changed the rewards system and points, everyone lost 2/3rds of thier points accumulated. I was on 10k almost. That got reduced to 3k, not a happy bunny ;( most of the goals to get free things are almost unobtainable unless you spam there forums/ stream on twitchtv, and optimise games according to the community settings (which was always way too low for my setup.) I now need to play until im 50 to get anything worth something for free. SO I uninstalled. some people say they were mining data off the community with such an enticing free rewards system (id like to think they were wrong) but alot of people have unistalled also.

I thought this has been out for a long time? I remember winning a few games last year lol.. I guess I was using the beta then.

Your comment is Genius......not! Nvidia can´t create new technologys without failing. At last we can say we have good luck if AMD comes and make open Standarts for all. Look at 3Dfx, they havent any good words about their technology, but they was the first one buy it. Look at Agaia, the Game industry and Nvidia laughing about their physic technics which noboy needs, but see who was the first one buy it. Look at GPU Compute, ATI did the first step with Apple for going to OpenCL, soon we saw Cuda. Look at G-Sync, they sell expansive Hardware for crappy TN Displays, look who make a open standart without extra Hardware for every Monitor which have Displayport 1.3, doesnt matter if use IPS, PLS or MVA Displays, thx AMD. Who buy Uli for doing Chipsets for Mainboards? Who buy Hybrid Graphics for Mobile Device? Who buy Portalplayers for makeing Tegra chips? Who buy Mental Image GmbH for Raytracing Technology on GPU Rendering? Nvidia did. so GTFO

I had it installed for few days its annoying as hell. Already have steam don't need another program running in background that involves games. But AMD FOREVER!!!...no Nvidia in my rig EVER!!!

I have no clue what you are trying to say.

That nvida can't create much, so they rather buy and make closed standards. Which I understand to a point, but to see crippling on purpose and disabling stuff is kinda funny xD

display port 1.3 hasn't been implemented yet

He's saying, exactly what NVidia has done.... NVidia is much like Apple. They buy a company or an IP portfolio, then claim to have invented said "tech". PhysX came from the Ageia. CUDA came from the University of Utah's Computer Science department. (I posted sources for this several years ago.) G-Sync came from the VESA standard. NVidia just chose to enable it through proprietary hardware instead of supporting an existing standard that they can't sell licenses for. (It's all about the money.....not the customer). NVidia has little, if any, real concern for the customer. Everything they do is strictly for profit. If it benefits consumers, it's by accident. This does in fact have it's upside for consumers. Just look at the cards NVidia releases.....

Just like AMD then. Take a guess which company has better legacy and/or open standard support.

Have you seen the prices of 280x 290 290x now? Well above msrp. And before you say its the retailers jacking up prices, is there any proof that it just the retailers and not a combo of amd and the retailers? I would venture to say that profit is a goal of both companies.

Prices are normal, see below. It's the retailers. People are panicking and paying insane prices for used 79xx and r9 280+. retailers take advantage of this, it's a legitimate, 100% normal, everyday procedure. if something is flying off the shelves, prices go up. nothing new here. Proof below, see various "mining" cards for normal prices http://www.scan.co.uk/products/3gb-sapphire-radeon-r9-280x-vapor-x-28nm-6200mhz-gddr5-gpu-950mhz-boost-1070mhz-2048-streams-dp-dvi- http://www.scan.co.uk/products/3gb-asus-radeon-r9-280x-directcu-ii-6000mhz-gddr5-gpu-1000mhz-2048-cores-dvi-d-hdmi-dport http://www.scan.co.uk/products/3gb-msi-radeon-radeon-r9-280x-gaming-3g-28nm-6000mhz-gddr5-gpu-1000mhz-boost-1050mhz-2048-streams-hd http://www.scan.co.uk/products/4gb-msi-amd-radeon-r9-290-twin-frozr-iv-28nm-5000mhz-gddr5-gpu-1007mhz-2560-streams-dport-dvi-hdmi http://www.scan.co.uk/products/4gb-xfx-radeon-r9-290-double-dissipation-28nm-5000mhz-gddr5-gpu-947mhz-boost-1000mhz-2560-streams-dp http://www.scan.co.uk/products/4gb-gigabyte-radeon-r9-290-oc-28nm-5000mhz-gddr5-gpu-1040mhz-2560-streams-dp-dvi-hdmi If the prices that some retailers are charging were reflecting a new, high AMD RRP, these respected etailers wouldn't be selling 280x/290 for normal prices. It is the retailers. Simple as that.
