Even if prices are coming to MSRP, that alone is inflated 2X. Here in Portugal a 6650XT costs +500€ and That's BS for a card that 5 years ago would cost no more than 250€.

Id you dont care get a card from a miner. Its the only way to get the card at msrp or lower.

Good for countries where this applies, cuz certainly not in The Netherlands.
Undying:

Prices are still high in many parts of the Europe especially the higher tier cards like 3080 and 6800xt still are in 900eur+ range for a cheapest models. 3070 and 6700xt are little above mrps, 550-600eur while 3060 and 6600xt are 350-450eur. AMD do has better deals and it is somewhat cheaper nvidia. Saying everything has returned to normal is just silly unless this is the new norm.
Asus Rog Strix RTX 3070 for a mere €830... >_>

no they haven't the 3060ti gaming from gigabyte I bought for 650eur last year is now 630. cheapest eagle versions are 560. cheapest 6700xt's are 540. they're less bad. but still pretty awful. one version of one card (6700xt asrock challenger) selling for 15% over original msrp.red devil,tuf,merc319 still cost 600 or more. normal is far away.

Only card i was able to find below msrp is the 6600 non xt for 300eur which i believe was 330eur? Great card for 1080p tho.

Did 3DCenter base their article on cheapest offers that aren't available? Only cards for MSRP and lower are the used cards miners currently flood out on e-bay etc. That might affect retail prices sooner or later, didn't happen yet though.

Still grossly overpriced in my region, heck even at MSRP I wouldn't buy any GPU atm.

335eur here still, this is a 1080p card, not even 1440p but for an entry level at this time it's good

Considering the state of affairs in the world and the high inflation, graphics cards shouldn't be an exception. So, from that point of view, they ought to be more expensive now than they used to be or were supposed to be (MSRP+inflation). However, like has been said many times, two years old cutting edge isn't anymore cutting, it's getting blunt, so the aging gen should be entering a discount phase, not inflation corrected original price. Perhaps card manufacturers are already largely satisfied by the record sales to the miners during the craze, and are now winding down production, instead of trying to fight the second-hand goods. That would keep prices up in shops.

sorry i think u reported this a little to early 6600xt is still about 400usd in Canada and the 3060ti is still a little over 510usd they're still 100-200usd overinflated and that's across the board just took 2 more common cards

pimp_gimp:

I don't know where they get their data, but the 3080 is a little lower in some cases, but still above MSRP Geforce RTX 3080 at Newegg Geforce RTX 3080 at Amazon
That MSI 3080 Ventus is tempting at $779.....if only I could walk into a local store and buy one.... Unfortunately, locally, that exact same card is $1150, has to be ordered and is 7-10 business days out....and with package thefts in my area becoming more common, I'm not having a graphics card delivered.

Pretty sure prices will be lower as we get closer to the new cards release in Q3-4. I think miners have only just now begun to dump their cards, so it may take some time for $ billions worth of cards to saturate the 2nd hand market. But when it happens, I think many of us will have big grins on our faces.
