That is like the best teaser for a CPU I've ever seen... it might also be the only one?

Who exactly is the target demographic in this? Seems like it's targeted toward teenage boys, but they're not the type of people who could afford something like this.

What kind of thinking is this? Are you saying these types of videos should be deadly serious with people in suits babbling some marketing bullshit? You aren't making any sense.

Naw, they really didnt. I guess since it was a cheesy 90s feel of metal and metallica, its supposed to only appeal to teenage boys, to those with that nonsense, go be a basement dweller again. Personally I thought it was great in a cheesy way.

Uh... no? You can make something exciting or interesting without using cheesy graphics and a handful of subjective descriptions... What doesn't make sense is how you think people in suits is the only alternative.

The ad was clever, nothing more of less. Relax everyone. Good lord do we need to over analyse everything?

haha, that was a cool trailer...I've always thought the name "Threadripper" was a great idea.

I am happy to be a metalhead and I haven't been a teenager for nigh on 2 decades. The trailer was a little cheesy but not at all teenager oriented in my opinion.

They've really outdone themselves with this video.

Isn't he though? What kind of people would buy this cpu and for which activities? Do you imagine your 15 year old trying to justify to you why he needs this over an i5 8600k? No it should not be a video where some people in suits blob boring stuff. But this kind of video is wrong. 32 Cores can be marketed as easily as video editing, rendering, simulation, color grading in real time. This particular video looks like that stupid video we'll look back on in 20 years and laugh how childish looking the ads were and how our kids were playing games on a 32core cpu, which is totally wrong.

These things aren't unusual. Intel showed gamers when they presented their Core i9 chips, and even did it during their recent 28-core PR stunt. Despite the core count, these chips are still considered consumer chips and I think both companies try to appeal to a wide audience (chips that are good for anything). They reserve their server chips for serious professionals.

Former teenagers who work with technology these days and have made huge money. I personally know 4 people like that, and I don't know a lot of people.
